[Guide] Pets (commands, reviving, evolving, multi pets)

Here it is, a guide I started working on 1.5 years ago and then forgot about!

There are three different categories of pets in MapleLegends.

1. Cash Shop pets, available from the Cash Shop and alive for 90 days.
2. Donor pets, available from the Donor Cash Shop and permanent, meaning you never have to revive them.
3. Event pets, available from seasonal events such as Christmas, Halloween, etc.​

All pets in MapleLegends gain the same amount of hunger per minute.

When your pet reaches level 15, you can talk through your pet by saying "/pet <text>".




Non-donor pets turn into a lifeless "doll" 90 days after purchase. There are two ways to revive your pet.

Spoiler: 1. Ellinia

Step 1. Find Mar the Fairy at Ellinia, tell her you want to turn your doll back into a pet.

Enter the hidden portal here:

Step 2. Find Trainer Bartos at Henesys Park, and tell him that Mar the Fairy sent you. He will give you a Life Scroll after you answer some questions. The answers are in order:

1. Henesys
2. Maya
3. Pets can attack the monster with its master.
4. Level 10.
5. 30​

Enter the hidden portal here:
Then walk all the way to the left.

Step 3. Go to the Cash Shop and buy a Water of Life from the Pet "Use" section for 2400 NX.
Step 4. Head back to Mar the Fairy and revive your pet! After 90 days, this process has to be repeated.

Step 1. Find Wispat Eos Tower Entrance and talk to her.

Step 2. Find Document Roll at a house in Ludibrium Village. It will give you a Life Scroll after you answer some questions. The answers are in order:

1. Henesys
2. Maya
3. Pets can attack the monster with its master.
4. Level 10.
5. 30​

Step 3. Go to the Cash Shop and buy a Water of Life from the Pet "Use" section for 2400 NX.
Step 4. Head back to Wisp and revive your pet! After 90 days, this process has to be repeated.

In order to equip multiple pets, you need to acquire the Follow the Lead skill.

Spoiler: How to acquire the skill

1. Equip your pet, head to Trainer Bartos and accept the "Pet Instructor Test" quest.
Currently only the following pets activate this quest:
Brown Kitty, Brown Puppy, Pink Bunny, Mini Kargo, Black Kitty, White Bunny, Husky, Black Pig, Panda, Dino Boy, Dino Girl, Monkey, White Tiger, Elephant (donor), Rudolph, Robot, Mini Yeti, Turkey, Penguin, Jr. Balrog, Golden Pig, Su Wu kong, all the Dragons, all the Robos, Black Bunny (donor), Jr. Reaper, Blue Husky (donor), Porcupine, Snowman, Kino (donor), Orange Tiger (donor), Skunk (donor), Crystal Rudolph, White Duck

Spoiler: Location Bartos

Enter the hidden portal here:
Then walk all the way to the left.

2. Climb up to the top of the obstacle course, and double-click on the basket of kitties to receive a Hidden Note .

3. Head back to Trainer Bartos, deliver the quest and accept the next quest called: "The Secret Method".
4. Go to the Cash Shop and buy a Pet Snack from the Pet "Use" section for 2500 NX.
5. Head back to Trainer Bartos, deliver the quest and receive the "Follow the Lead" skill. You can now equip up to 3 pets at once.

Sometimes, a combination of 3 pets triggers a set effect. All of these can be found in my Set Effects Guide here.


There are two different categories of pets that can undergo evolution; Dragon & Robo.

Spoiler: Dragon Evolution

The Baby Dragon can be randomly evolved into:

• Green Dragon (common)
• Red Dragon (common)
• Blue Dragon (common)
• Black Dragon (rare)

1. Level your Baby Dragon to level 15.
2. Find Garnox at the New Leaf City, Singapore or Malaysia and accept the quest "Pet's Evolution1".
3. Gather 50 Cold Eye Tails and 50 Lupin's Bananas .
4. Head back to Garnox, deliver the quest and accept the new quest called: "Pet's Evolution2".
5. Buy a Rock of Evolution from the Cash Shop's Pet "Use" section for 5500 NX.
6. Head back to Garnox, deliver the quest and your pet will have evolved! The colour that you get is random.

Spoiler: Robo Evolution

The Baby Robo can be randomly evolved into:

• Blue Robo (common)
• Red Robo (common)
• Green Robo (common)
• Gold Robo (rare)
• Gorilla Robo (extremely rare)

1. Level your Baby Robo to level 15.
2. Find Garnox at New Leaf City, Singapore or Malaysia and accept the quest "Robo Upgrade!".
3. Gather 50 Cheap Batteries and buy a Rock of Evolution from the Cash Shop's Pet "Use" section for 5500 NX.
4. Head back to Garnox, deliver the quest and your pet will have evolved! The colour that you get is random.

If you didn't receive the colour you wanted, you can re-evolve your pet by accepting the "Pet's Revolution" quest and buying a new Rock of Evolution.
It's impossible to receive the same colour you currently have from this quest.

Oh yeah, I actually did, but I guess I accidentally removed it while I was making the thread.

 

Everything you buy with donor points is permanent, but unfortunately you can't buy normal pets with donor points.

 

You need to type them exactly as is written here, with the capitals and everything:

Also want to add that in v62, no pets come with item magnet or meso pouch already added, no matter what it says in the pet's description. V62 also doesn't support the 3 combo-pet skills that give you weapon/magic attack. These descriptions are just text from the post bigbang version that the pets were taken from.
