Notice Notice regarding Gachapon Tickets

Hello,

This Christmas we have introduced regular Gachapon tickets to monster drops. As explained here this was an experiment for future changes.

When it comes to MapleLegends we've made many changes since 2015. Some that made the server easier, some that made it harder, and some that are complete design changes.

It's without doubt that when a server is almost 4 years old big changes are difficult to apply fair for new or old users.

However, we still believe that making this change is for the better, and move MapleLegends into an even less 'Vote2win' server, and more a 'Play2win' server.

Therefore, we are announcing that Cash Gachapon Tickets are planned to be completely removed from the Cash Shop starting next patch, which is scheduled to be around event end. Instead, they will keep dropping from mobs with improved item rates.

We are completely aware this is a huge change, and while I personally give a lot of times 'this server is way too old for huge changes' I still think this is for the better.

Including the patch are also preparations for content updates, bug fixes, and more.

What is going to happen?

- Next patch Gachapon Tickets can no longer be bought from the Cash Shop
- We'll give you a short period of time to spend and use all the CASH Gachapon Tickets you own, including ones found by drops
- CASH Gachapon Tickets (newly named Gachapon Ticket (common)) will no longer drop while we are revamping the system and rates to be better
- All leftover CASH Gachapon Tickets will be destroyed from user's inventory
- The level requirement of 50 will be completely removed
- Common Gachapon Tickets will start dropping again together with RARE ones (hunting) with changed and improved rates.

Other things we are working on (related to Gachapon + Scroll availability)

With Gachapon Tickets removed from Cash Shop the biggest concern will likely be that even less scrolls will be available. We are happy to tell that we'll bring scrolls (30% for example) available soon with other methods. However, we cannot completely tell yet how it will work, because it's still prepared to be finalized, and worked on. We've heard the outcry from a few and are not ignoring it.

Furthermore, we personally believe that without Gachapon Tickets being available in the Cash Shop we are slowly able to address rules that are inconsistent and flawed, to improve the overall experience of the server, and make sure some users may not have a benefit over other.

Of course we are also working on a lot more things! We are extremely excited to showcase them in the near future.

No. When we make changes to any kind of rule we'll announce that as well. Until that is done the rules stay the same.

 

Unfortunately because we used the same items this is not easily done without more hacky checks. People had a very long time to get to 50 starting the christmas event. Especially with a 30% bonus.

 

No, but don't wait for it. Either use/buy them now or not at all. The rates for the current existing tickets will not be changed, so there's no reason to hoard them.
