Day 39: More preliminaries for dailies!

Not going to be able to report much today, have had a busy 2 days and didn't get a lot of Maple in.
Got my ravs done: (No pouch today, unfortunately)
Run 1: 45:57
Run 2: 46:18
Run 3: 45:46
Run 4: 46:29 (a new highscore! Woo)

Also bought this baby from the man Linny himself:

It'll last until the end of october, giving me plenty of time to find a suitable replacement by then.

I also got started on NT prequests (probably a bit premature at lvl 150, but I would rather just get it over with asap. Aside from this, daily NTPQ might be worth doing? No clue if the daily income from coins really amounts to any meso)


I also got married to farm daily APQ(s)! Shoutout to Hiyo for having 17 million chars and offering one up for me to marry.
In very Spencil-like fashion (Sorry for ripping you off, you inspire me) I'll probably keep track of my stack of appos and sell them whenever I get 100.

Future plans:
-Finish NT Prequests
-Get an Ellin Ring (I figured I could really use the HP)
-Keep on doing daily ravs, maybe a krex/zak whenever I have extra time.
-Try to fit in a little Monster Book farming every now and then, but so far the rate of cards on mage has felt dreadful compared to other chars. Maybe bring out my DK?

Day 40: RL stuff taking over, small steps


Henlo!!! Very short entry today, so little time, so much to do.

-Finished first stage of NT, got a Verga carry scheduled for tomorrow.
-Finished Ellin ring (only took me until lvl 151) because I felt like the HP would be a big boost when aiming for NT.


Leveled up!

Washed, gained +120hp (from 2112 to 2232 clean)

Finally broke 1000 int! 7 more tma for petri with echo

Ran into a FAN, I'm so famous!!!!

I promised I'd be providing some more options for lower level I/L moneymaking, but I'll probably do that when RL stuff kinda calms down. Few more days!

I was fortunate enough to be carried through my daily ravs by the legend himself: Snork
This went a whole bunch quicker than my usual ravs:

This is when I include my bishop for self-hs, had expected a larger gain on the I/L eph but this is honestly very nice. Might resort to this until I can 1hit petri without echo.

Turns out I really can't even limit myself to 3 chars, so here's me randomly hopping on shad again.

Grinded a good 50% on my shad! Almost 140.
Solo 7F with GM buffs (Echo + gm HS, no MW, coke pills wouldn't add to gm buffs for some reason?)
These my big boi stats with Echo + mw10 (after gm buffs ran out, I still have no idea what was preventing coke pills, perhaps its the def from Bless that prevents the def from coke pill. Time to switch to ciders?) (Note: This is on HB, I'm not actually a tankyboy)
Duo exp after including my 152 bish for HS and duoing with a 127 shad. Before I added my bish, I was getting 48m eph (on GM buff HS).

One day I'll truly figure out what to play.

I think I started MP washing around lvl90. I do regret not starting hp washing earlier, though. I probably hit 30k mp at 130-135 and I could've already gained 1k-1.5k hp from washing in the process

Day 44: Oh no, really enjoying the shad gameplay...

Hello everyone!

This will be my last update for a while. I'm expecting to be back late august.
Anyways, we have made some progress over the past few days!

Updates:
First off, an update to the state of my monsterbook:

We're almost at 1000 cards! Must say I drew a lot of motivation on this front from Soblet's great journal. I've definitely got my mind set on reaching T10.

Note: It looks like I missed a card between orange/red tier. This is because I was apparently dumb enough to hover my mouse over a card slot while taking one of the screenshots.

Clearly, we still have a lot of work to do. However, looking at my progress and enjoyment over the past few days, I feel like it's possible. There's still so many sets that aren't necessarily even daunting as far as I'm aware, so I'm breezing through for now.

I also decided to give CWK Exchange another try. While going through the farming (I didn't accurately measure the time it took because I was mixing it in with some other stuff), I was actually having a pretty good time. Meso seemed ok even before turning in the reward, exp from Crimson Guardians was honestly really good. Will grab some @epm checks there in the next entry.
Upon turning in the reward, a smile was definitely brought to my face...

Stonks! Keeping it because one day it'll definitely be turned into something useful.

I did put in my first attempt at soloing rav, but my internet has been super wonky and my shad keeps dashing whenever I'm using/holding ds/nate combo. This is 100% a player skill issue and I've switched over to nate/ds combo, but I haven't had a chance to properly put this to the test yet.

Future Goals:
- Upgrade Shad helmet:
- Start banking meso in storage to save up for 30 or 31 att Dragon Khanjar. I'll probably only use meso generated on the shad for this. Currently at ~15m and a bunch of scrolls that still need to be sold.
- Continue carding to hit T6 and hopefully swiftly push through to T7 and beyond!
- Try to get in a more regular habit of farming some cwk exchange etcs or farming a full raffle whenever I have time.*
- Give Rav/pap solo a try. The rewards on their own are probably worse in terms of exp/meso than I could do elsewhere, but it'll be fun to 'challenge' myself a little (while both bosses should be easy by now)*
- Once I get a better idea of what my stats are like (perhaps on event rings?), I'd like to see if I can continue getting my base str/dex down further.

* An additional reason I want to approach my shad this way is that I've realised that I spent too much time trying to figure out what to do. Just getting my daily 5-10% from soloing rav/pap will stack up significantly more than spending my time calculating and thinking of more optimal things. Besides, please enjoy game?

Day 45: I returns!

Hello everyone, it's been a while.

Today was the first day in a while where I actually got to spend more than 1-2 hours on the game, so I figured this was the time to update you guys on what's up and what's to come.
First off, I decided my plan with my Shadower was to do a simple cycle of daily bosses. Ravana, Papulatus, and Latanica. I expected these all to be very straightforward and fun to practice my shad on.

It turns out I was very wrong. Partly due to player skill issues, partly due to an unfortunate interaction between Assassinate and ping.
As for Ravana:
Soloing ravana is very kinda for now. No matter what I do or how I do it, my Assassinate still seems to have like a ~30% chance to just randomly dash. Is it still playable and could I still solo ravana? Yes. Is it fun? Not particularly, the pin breaks often when I dash. I've considered just staying inside Rav's body and tanking it so that dashing doesn't matter as much. However, this resulted in rav burning more pots than I'd be happy to spend.
As for Papulatus:
I suppose this is mostly the player-skill-issue part of the day. While I found my first attempt at soloing Pap reasonably enjoyable, I simply don't have the avoidability (or Shifter level) to stay up on the platform with relative consistency. At the moment, I was getting knocked off every 5-10 seconds, often still resulting in a dispell because of being in Nate animation and thus slow to reclimb the rope. @ all pro cool shads, do you have any indication at which point avoidability starts to make bosses a little more comfy? I suppose it depends on which boss, but primarily for pap/rav and the other weak bosses like zak/krex.

Assassinate continuing to dash post-patch was a pretty serious hit to my motivation to play shad. There is still the option of trying ExitLag, but I'm hesitant to spend money on it for the sole purpose of playing my shad.

Anyways, enough complaining. There's definitely fun stuff on the horizon!
After all, we have an amazing event going on right now. There's so much to do that I struggle to fit it all in my limited playtime.
Here's a sheet I've been working on. I didn't think I'd have to clarify that this was a sheet, but my attempt at 'censorship' with regards to my igns and rewards turned into such an extensive photofuck that it's honestly hard to tell what's going on.


Additionally I had also been working on a sheet for my daily bosses, until I realised that...doing my daily bosses is currently not ideal

So anyways, for my immediate future goals:
- Get Silver Mane upgrade for my shad. I find myself using the mount more and more and becoming much smoother with incorporating it into rotations to save time.
- Abuse the event to save up enough money for my 30/31 att Dragon Khanjar update.
- Reconsider whether or not I would hypothetically like to main shad if my nate forever dashes.

Day 46: Fun stuff!

Gutentag!

My dent in motivation recovered a fair bit. Using a 3x Assassinate macro does help significantly with the unwanted dashing. There's definitely still occasional dashes (feels like 10-15% of my nates still dash) but it's so much more manageable. Haven't had a chance to solo Rav yet, but will try soon.

It was time to start tackling the first of my shad's goals: Getting a faster mountyboy!

I had not heard good things about this grind, but I was not about to spend a bunch of meso on these items when I had a perfectly capable shad that could farm them and gain some exp/meso in the process. It did take a while, but was a very chill grind. 7/10 would do it again on my next char.
I am speed, I am beauty, I am worth it.

Is okay, I passed it 2 attempts later.

Joining a '30' man Krex, turned out to be like 12 people. Still a very fun run and surprisingly I still got 8%/run.

Oops, I fatfingered my mount instead of my pot after petpot failed me. Big shoutouts to this party for actually waiting to kill Krex until res came up and I was revived!

Slowly learning how to not suck. Being stuck in nate animation on body when dp comes on is a big nono. This was like 3 days ago, have improved a lot since then!

Got me a free chair gifted by Kyle, then got the same chair from raffle. This game truly senses ways to screw you over.

Dusted off my DK for raffles, fell slightly in love with the (shockingly?) high damage lines for a lvl 129 dk. Don't think I'll be switching to playing it a lot, though. Zerking is still too much effort for me.

Figured it'd be worth showing you guys how much int I have when I swap to int gear + mw20. It's not going to provide me with a huge amount of HP, but it feels wasteful not to switch to int gear.

We actually got a pouch on both runs, both pouches opened up to 3 coins each.
I'm also keeping track of all my daily ravs and latanicas in order to gauge pouch droprate and expected value.
Seeing how today's Ravana runs were my only sample size, Ravana is sitting pretty at over 7m EV per run. That's going to drop a lot over the coming weeks and that's okay.
Latanica (3 days/runs in) is sitting pretty at .... 0 meso per run. No pouches, no equips, no nothing. Still going to keep doing it!

Right, okay, enough silly compilations in spoilers. On to the nitty-gritty, what exactly am I doing, have I been doing, and will I be doing?
As for what I have been (and am) doing, daily grinding of the event raffle. I'm becoming increasingly sure that I am absolutely wasting my time compared to methods such as farming meso on my shad or mages, but it's much more fun this way. I like the thrill of raffling and the variation in mobs I see (and chars I play!)
I'm most definitely not one of the sweatiest participants, but I'm glad I'm getting a few in.

With regards to what I will be doing, I've found a new map to spend a few hours on: 1-2F! Of course, any good grinding option for exp has to be in shaolin.
Using my I/L + leecher + hs mule, I'm getting 62m eph on the I/L and 26m eph on the leecher. (In this case, my future Hero)

My original intention was to selfleech my shad here on downtime, but then I remembered a slight oversight in the way my characters are spread out: My HS mule and Shad share the same account... Oh well, perhaps I'll make a new HS mule or perhaps I'll have to actually play my shad to level it (the mere suggestion is absurd).
