Information [Alpha Test] Challenges System - HP Wash Alternative

Im so hyped for this. Thank you, legends team.

 

A lot of HP\MP is pretty much end game right? Why not do something like:
There around 2250 cards and 1200 quests in the game. (Which getting there is endgame also)

Each card you loot you will gain like 3+ HP/MP. (For bosses more(?))
Each quest you do you will gain like 4+ HP/MP.

(Do your calculation for each job and how much you want this is an example)

Pretty much solve the washing problem if you ask me and gives more reason to players to do the game content.
Also give the players ability to improve their HP\MP their on their pace and from the start.

 

Or maybe we can go to Tier 13 monster book ring!
Quest ring also might come in handy!

 

I made a similar thread on that a while ago. Kinda lost steam lol but I'm glad someone else has a similar thought on it.

 

I would very personally take the washing route tbh, 10k hp for shadower seems very uncomfortable for me.

Yeah, but I understand why they wouldn't be able to. Small staff, they have to be extremely neutral about everything, and it's all free. It's not a huge deal, more like, wishful or hopeful thinking lol

 

This is amazing!
My friends and I are real Oldschool Maplestory players (about 12 people from school back in the days playing GMS). This functionality is excellent and must be implemented for the future of this server.
People no longer have enough time to invest in a long and complex HP wash that ruins the low/mid level (which in our opinion is an incredible part of the game to play (thinking about PQ, quests, etc.).
We strongly recommend that you put the system in place as soon as possible to attract even more new people and to improve the retention of these people.
Without this feature, i will certainly quit (and my friends probably too) and it's sad because this game is truly the best game ever
I hope my message will be read. This game mean so much to me and all my friends.

 

I came back to ML after hearing about this since Im a primlocked lvl 173 NL with 5.5K HP Base.

I am excited that this mechanism will be implemented to improve the gaming experience. It will definitely serve as a much-needed solution to a broken and outdated system.

Undoubtedly, the driving reason for me to come back to Legends was this HP Challenge. The time sink isn't the issue with the current iteration of HP washing. It's the unplayability of the character for the vast majority of levels until we get into "end game". I don't want to be insanely weak and unable to grind. But I'm very happy to only being able to boss with a dark knight in order to survive. Bosses should require party play.

 

Just for clarifications are the thresholds mentioned the HP cap? I know we'll still get HP leveling up, but if the challenge is over at lets say 10,000 HP for a Shadower how would someone reach 30,000 HP using this system?

You're wrong, it seems to be an indirect buff because they have Magic Guard and still giving them the ability to MP wash it gives them even more surviveability which is unfair for this system towards the other classes.

Which is why I'm asking my question above.

 

This is something that the community has been asking for for a long time, I think the idea is great, I support it 100%, many of us who played before in ML have returned thanks to this hp wash rework 10/10

 

Good question, I understood that what the developers of maple legends want to implement is an alternative system to the traditional hp wash (hp/mp wash) but this system will not replace the traditional hp wash nor will it be possible to reach 30 k hp with it and it seems to me logical that it is so. In the end, the traditional HP wash requires a lot of time and planning, so it would logically have better results than this new system. Ultimately you won't be able to get to 30k HP with the new system, but you can do all the bosses in the game with hb, there will still be the traditional hp washing with which you can reach 30k hp. I think this new system is a wonderful idea and I look forward to the day it is implemented.

 

Hi, I just wanted to generally ask about an update on this? How's the alpha going? Is this going to be implemented in full this year?
