    The reason why multimaging is a neccessary evil is becasue the skill ceiling on a single client has been hit ages ago and it also brings convenience to allow anyone to play at their own pace. If multimaging were to be removed, there would need to be an absurd amount of changes ranging from convenience changes to the addition of a lot more challenging content that is entertaining, challenging and profitable. The abrupt removal of multimaging would be an overall negative since the game will become a lot less entertaining to a lot of players who like to push the limit.

    as a former advocate for singel clienting

    i actualy like multi clienting because i can play other characters while waiting for something, i.e. some party quests.

    however these can be adressed and i would ultimately like single clienting but this server isnt ready to remove multi clienting atm and prob not for a long while

    Historically, implement of multiclient in single PC wasn't thing which existed from start of this server. Back in a day, for years from launch of server, it was restricted to open only 1 client per PC in normal way, and we're all greedy players. we DO know benefit of doing multiclients so tried many methods to evade that restriction. likewise, VirtualBox, VMware, just multiple PC/Laptop..... So it was staffs decision to make it 'Fair' for getting such benefit, making multiclient possible in normal way in single PC. I even wrote 'guide' on forum, for how to multiclient using VMware once.

    And now, ppls are complaining about multiclient crying for 'fairness' because talented multiclienters get way more benefit than single client players. I feel amusement for this irony. Implement of multiclienting was for fairness, and now players cry it's unfair. what a joke.

    I'd say, personally, I do think current status is way more fair than before. Because everyone has chance and easy access for multiclient, and has potential to get such benefits. It's nonsense to cry for fairness when players actually just do nothing but being salty for sweaty players.

    I'm ready to be flamed.

    we are in a weird situation where multi clienting is quite accessible because of how old maplestory is

    the reason why i said i preferred singele clienting is because thats the closest to old school mapelstory, thats it (we are too big of a server, old of a server anyways for this switch)

    as a casual player, multi clienting wasnt hard to set up, which just amounts to opening another instance of it by double clicking the exe again

    economy aside and whatever (i dont really abuse the sweaty tryhard farming methods), multiclienting lets me play multiple jobs when i feel like it, or when a good opportunity shows up, so it's a very dynamic experience.

    to simplify it even further as an experience, multi clienting i feel is like upgradeing from a single monitor to multiple monitors, which is now common place . most people can easily afford to multi client, and, even if you dont play like a tryhard, i didn't really feel disadvantaged as a casual player cuz of the gacha system, daily bossing, card hunting, etc

    * note, i play as a casual on purpose as that reflects most players, even though i sometimes make deep-dive analysis about maplestory's mechanics

    Unless content itself gets a massive overhaul, multiclienting and muling is somewhat necessary. Good luck trying to find an active bishop to run for your NT tour so your group can now have Holy Symbol. Hope you don't feel bad about 3 man exp now going 4-ways. Same goes for splits.

    If you're going to lower the ceiling of play down to the common player, you'd need to raise the standard of what active single client play looks like.
