How to create a Night Lord with 30,000 HP.

    Intro

Our goal is to create an attacker with the potential to reach 30,000 HP and 5,000 MP by level 150. We'll be using MP Washing to create excess MP and Stale HP Washing convert that MP into HP. It will take 1,700,000 NX before we can finish MP Washing. It will take 1,200,000 NX to reset our Base INT. Upon completing these steps, this character will be playable by level 150. It will take another 4,800,000 NX over the course of this character’s life until we are able to finish HP Washing.

This character requires preparation and resources to make. Before beginning this process, it's recommended to have at least 1,700,000 NX on this character's account. I also recommend having at least 200 million mesos for equipment and buying leech, and a higher level character (bishop recommended) for self-leech and helping with quests.

These calculations apply to Night Lords, Shadowers, Bow Masters, and Marksman, as all four classes use the same formulas.

How much HP do we need to create?

To reach 30k HP, we need to create an additional 25,000 HP through washing.

By level 150, a Night Lord will have naturally gained around ~3,700 hp from leveling up. You’ll also be able to have 1,300 HP from equips such as the Tier 10 Monster Book Ring (1,000), Ellin Savior's Ring (100), and Scrolled Pet Equips (200). This leaves 25,000 HP that we need to create through HP Washing to reach our 30,000 HP goal.

How much MP do we need to create?

25,000 HP is more than we can create through HP Washing alone. We’re going to need to use MP Washing to create MP, then convert that MP into HP through use of Stale HP Washing.

Each Stale HP Wash will convert 12 points of MP into 16 points of HP. To create 25,000 HP, we're going to need 18,750 MP that can be converted into HP. After all HP Washing, let’s make sure we have some MP left over. We’ll account for an additional 5,000 MP.

To reach our targets, we’re going to need to have 23,750 MP at level 150. That’s 18,750 MP for HP Washing, and 5,000 MP leftover.

How do we create this much MP?

We're going to be able to get MP different sources:
    1. Leveling Up
    2. Washing Gear
    3. Job Advancements
    4. MP Equip.
    5. MP Washing
    1. Leveling Up

We’ll gain MP when we level up. We’ll also gain a bonus to our MP based on our Base INT. Over the course of 150 levels, we’ll gain around 6,500 MP from leveling up.

For example: On average, we’ll gain 22 MP, plus 1 point for every 10 INT. So leveling up with 100 Base INT will give us a total of 32 HP.

    2. Washing Gear

When leveling up, you also gain a bonus to MP gained from the INT equipment you are wearing. This includes your items and the Maple Warrior buff. MP gained through this method will allow you to reach your target goals sooner. These projections do not account for any INT gear or Maple Warrior.

Read more: Click here to learn more about washing gear

    3. Job Advancements

There's also a small bonus from the 2nd job advancement. On average, we’ll get 175 MP.

    4. MP Equip.

With a Tier 10 Monster Book ring (500), and Ellin Ring (100), we can account for 600 MP from equips. While we can’t use this MP to create HP, it does help us reach our goal of 5,000 MP.

    5. MP Washing (!!!!)

And finally, the magic of washing. By putting Fresh AP into MP, we’ll be able to create MP. Even when we use an AP Reset to move those points out of MP into LUK (or INT), we’ll have a net gain of MP.

With our 23,750 Target MP, minus 6,500 from leveling up, minus 175 from job advancements, and minus 600 from MP equips, that leaves a total of 16,325 MP that we will need to create with MP Washing.

How many times do we need to MP Wash?

Our goal is to create 16,325 MP.

We’ll start MP Washing as soon as our Base INT reaches 200. That’s putting a point of Fresh AP into MP, then using an AP Reset to move that point to another stat.

For our first 200 MP Washes, we'll AP Reset those points from MP into INT until we hit our goal of 400 Base INT. From then on, we’ll AP Reset those points from MP into LUK. We’ll continue this process until we’ve created enough MP to reach our targets.

We will MP wash until we have 23,150 MP. Why 23,150 MP? This allows us to Stale Wash 18,750 HP into 25,000 HP, and have 4,400 MP remaining. Add a Tier 10 Monster Book ring (500), and Ellin Ring (100), and we’ll be able to hit our HP and MP targets.

It will take ~1,700,000 NX (260 days of voting) worth of AP Resets to finish MP Washing. This process MUST be completed before you reset your Base INT.

When do we reset our Base INT?

Once we’ve completed our MP Washing, we no longer need our Base INT. We can then use AP Resets to convert our 400 INT into LUK.

It will take ~1,220,000 NX (188 days of voting) worth of AP Resets to reset our Base INT. This process MUST be completed after you finish MP Washing.

Once this step is completed, we’ll have a playable Night Lord! We can grind and boss as usual, while collecting the remaining NX to wash our oversized MP pool into HP.

How many times do we need to HP Wash?

After MP Washing, we start the process of converting our excess MP into HP. We’ll be using a process called Stale HP Washing. This is when we use an AP Reset to subtract one point at a time from MP and put one point into HP. Each point subtracts 12 MP, and adds 16 HP. This process may be done at any time once you've finished MP Washing.

To create 25,000 HP with Stale HP Washing, it will take 1,560 AP Resets to convert 18,750 MP into 25,000 HP. This will cost 4,800,000 NX (745 days of voting).

Note: To Stale Wash, you must have at least one point of AP sitting in either HP or MP. If you find yourself unable to remove a point of MP with an AP Reset, this is likely the culprit.

You will have ~250 Fresh AP to spend between levels 150-200. Using these points to "Fresh HP Wash” would net an additional 500 HP compared to "Stale Washing". This is because each Fresh Wash gives an avg. of 18 HP compared to Stale Washing’s 16 HP. However, since "HP Washing" requires Fresh AP, you’ll have to balance how fast you can level up with the NX required to wash those Fresh AP every level.

    [IMG] 2. Step by step

You may reach your goals sooner or later than the listed levels. The levels listed here represent a baseline, your results may vary.

    Levels 1-6
    • Start with 10 INT
    • Put Fresh AP into INT
    Levels 6-10
    • Put Fresh AP into DEX, until you have 25 DEX
    • Then, put Fresh AP into INT
Note: You need 25 DEX to do your job advancement

    Levels 11-40 - Pump INT
    • Put Fresh AP into INT until you have 200 Base INT
    Levels 40-80 - MP Washing - Part I
    • Once you have 200 Base INT, start MP Washing.
    • Put Fresh AP into MP, then use an AP Reset to -MP +INT.
    • Repeat this process until you have 400 Base INT.
Levels 80-150 - MP Washing - Part II
    • Once you have 400 Base INT, continue MP Washing:
    • Put Fresh AP into MP, then use an AP Reset to -MP +LUK.
    • Repeat this process until you have 23,150 MP
This process MUST be complete before you reset your Base INT.

Why 23,150 MP? This allows us to Stale Wash 18,750 HP into 25,000 HP, and have 4,400 MP remaining. Add a Tier 10 Monster Book ring (500), and Ellin Ring (100), and we’ll be able to hit our HP and MP targets.

Level ~150 - Reset Base INT

Ensure that you have created enough MP to reach your Target HP and Target MP goals. Double check, and triple check it! Make sure, make 1,000% sure you have enough MP to reach your goals, because once this step is done, there's no going back!
    • Once you have reached your MP goals, reset your Base INT:
    • Use AP Resets to reset your 400 Base INT into LUK.
This process must be completed only after you have finished MP Washing.

Tip: It may be worthwhile to move 10 to 20 points into your DEX. Night Lords want to have at least 140 DEX to equip the Red Craven claw. Eventually, you’ll want to have most, if not all, of this DEX coming from your scrolled equipment. If you don’t quite have the scrolled equipment (or mesos to do so), you can add more Base DEX to help you reach the required 140 DEX. You can reset these points to LUK at a future point once you’ve finished scrolling your gear for DEX.

    Levels ~150+ - HP Washing

Once you have reset your Base INT, start HP Washing. Most of your HP Washing will be done with Stale HP Washing, but you can include Fresh HP Washing if you have the AP and NX.
    • Do you have NX and Fresh AP? Do Fresh HP Washing: Put Fresh AP into HP, then use an AP Reset to -MP +LUK.
    • Do you have NX but no Fresh AP? Do Stale HP Washing: Use AP Resets to -MP +HP
    • Don't have NX, and have Fresh AP? You can either save your Fresh AP for when you do have the NX, or put those points straight into LUK.
    • Don’t have NX, and don't have Fresh AP? Keep leveling, vote daily until you do.
Then, simple repeat these steps until you have Thirty Thousand Hit Points.

    3. Leveling

    [IMG] 4. Skills

Here are some suggested skills. Most of your time will be hanging on a rope/ladder while getting leeched. The order in which you put points into the skills isn’t very important. With up to 400 Base INT, it’s unlikely we’ll be doing much grinding, so many of the lower level skills are of little importance. Here's a quick overview, we won't go into detail here, as many other guides cover this section much better!

    [IMG] 5. Job Advancements

Your 2nd and 3rd Job Advancements require combat challenges in order to progress. These can be difficult due to your primary stat being so low. Let me know if there’s interest in having a guide for these challenges.

    [IMG] 6. Equipment

    Leveling

Since the majority of your early career will be spent hanging on ropes, the equip. you wear for leveling bears little importance. Consider picking up a Maple Claw or a Maple Skanda, as they don’t need DEX.

It may be worthwhile to run KPQ for the Squishy Shoes, LPQ for the Broken Glasses, or EPQ for the Glittering Altaire Earrings. These items are nice in the fact they give you LUK and DEX, and help you reach your DEX goals later. If you don’t enjoy PQing, don’t worry about it, as you may outgrow these items.

    Washing

This guide won’t cover instructions for washing gear. It’s a matter of personal preference on how much you want to invest in INT gear to expedite your MP gains.

    Mid-game

Your goal is to reach 140 DEX to equip the Red Craven. We’ll accomplish this by putting as much DEX as possible on our equipment.
    • Weapon: Red Craven. Scroll for Attack
    • Helm: Scarlion (DEX), Targa (LUK), or Zakum. Scroll for DEX
    • Eye: Spectrum or White Racoon. Scroll for Accuracy (DEX)
    • Face: Rat Mouth or Branch Nose. Scroll for Avoid (DEX)
    • Earrings: Any. Scroll for DEX
    • Shoes: Red/Dark Pirate, Brown/Red Osfa or Christmas Sock. Scroll for Jump (DEX)
    • Pendant: Mark of Naricain, Horntail Pendant
    • Cape: Pink Gaia or Pink Adventurer Cape
    • Gloves: Any. Brown Work Gloves, Yellow Markers, Green Mittens. Scroll for Attack
    • Top: Red/Dark/Green Pirate or Brown/Red Osfa. Scroll for LUK
    • Bottom: Red/Dark/Green Pirate or Brown/Red Osfa. Scroll for DEX
    • Stars: Ilbis or Balanced Fury
    • Ring: T3+ Monster Book
For mid-game, your goal is to have a 70+ att. claw, 12+ att. gloves, 5+ att. cape and enough DEX that you can work on resetting your Base DEX to LUK.

    End-game

Next step!? Spend billions of mesos on your claw, cape, and gloves to stack as much weapon att. as possible.
    • Claws: Red Craven (140 DEX), Purple Dragon Sleeve (150 DEX), Green Dragon Sleeve (150 DEX), Flairgrave (155 DEX) or Reverse/Timeless Lampion (160 DEX)
    • Capes: Pink Gaia, Pink Adventurer Cape
    • Gloves: Brown Work Gloves, Yellow Markers
    • Shoes: Facestompers, Brown/Red Osfa, or Yellow Snowshoes
    • Earrings: Timeless, Elemental Pierce, or any.
    • Stars: Balanced Fury, Magic Throwing Knives
    • Ring: T10 Monster Book
    [IMG] 7. FAQ

What about HP/MP gained after level 150?

For the sake of simplicity, all calculations here are using the assumption that we can hit our goals by level 150 (if we had the NX). As we level past 150, we'll still be gaining additional HP and MP that isn't being accounted for in these projections. In practice and with time, your MP may be higher than represented in these projections.

    What about Minimum MP?

Other resources online will account for Minimum MP. This is the lowest amount that your MP can be before you are unable to subtract MP with an AP Reset. Since we’re planning to create excess MP, this is not a consideration we have to account for.

    What about washing gear?

Do you need to buy expensive INT gear? No, well... sort of. Many players find it worthwhile to wear INT equip. as the small amount of bonus MP gained each level may allow them to reach their targets sooner. The sooner we hit our MP goals, the sooner we can stop leeching.

For example: If we were to wear 40 INT of equipment, that would be +4 MP per level, or 560 MP over the course of leveling 10-150 with this character. This allows us to hit our MP goals 2 levels sooner.

Considering that it costs 85,000,000 mesos of leech to go from 148 to 150, you can see why many players are willing to pay for their washing gear.

    [IMG] 8. Conclusion

Congrats! Over the course of 150 levels, you’ve spent 2,900,000 NX to MP Wash, and 4,800,000 NX to HP Wash, for a grand total of 7,700,000 NX to create a 30,000 HP Night Lord.

Thank you DoguuDoguu for catching a typo in the "Levels ~150+ - HP Washing" section. I've updated that to be more clear about what to do when you don't have the NX at later levels.

Here's the updated spreadsheet with calculations.

Thanks to everyone who shared their feedback!

To try it for yourself, make a copy of the document to your Google Drive. You can edit the first six inputs to see how Target Levels, Base INT, and more will effect the build.

Hi, is it possible to do some early HP washes at this point:

    Levels 11-81 - Pump INT
    • Put Fresh AP into INT until you have 200 Base INT

You certainly could! However, the benefits would be marginal. Thieves gain 18 HP per Fresh HP Wash, compared to 16 HP per fresh Stale Wash (on average). Stale washes are convenience, since they can be done at any time. Most players choose to do their Stale HP Washes after the character has finished MP Washing.

I would only do HP Washes early if you already had ~2 million NX saved up. Otherwise, you're front-loading your NX usage and spending NX that you are going to need to use to finish MP Washing and reset your Base INT.

Thanks for the reply, the only reason I ask it to possibly have enough HP to go to buy a Zakum helm and buy the regular service, instead of the afk one. Do you know if the HP, with early HP washing would get close to that threshold?

I don't believe so. If you have the NX (1.5+ million) you can mix in Stale HP Washing at any level. Just make sure you have enough NX saved to finish your MP washing and Reset Base INT so you can play this character once you finish MP washing.

For this character, your progress is ultimately going to be limited by how much NX you have. I personally wouldn't increase your NX spend with early washing in order to save a few million mesos.

Hey there KrythanKrythan thanks for this guide! I would need some advices if you can, im currently following the guide but i do have int gear so im wondering if i still need to stick to the guide or you would suggest another path? (maths give me anxiety)

8 int from cape and 3int belt at lvl 25 and 30 will be added.

Also do you think its better to lvl a SE mule in the same time? got a bishop

    Thanks for your time :)

Sweet stuff. As for beginner skills I must say that I find Recovery to be more useful in the end-game than Nimble Feet.
Sound funny? Well hear me out.
Nimble Feet can be useful until you 2nd job where you start increasing your Haste. After that it's absolutely useless. On the other hand, Recovery can come handy in bosses that deal only 1/1's such as BGA last body. I personally bring Grilled Cheese (+250 HP/MP) instead of actual potions against the last body for that very reason. This means Recovery can also be used in the same fashion to save yourself some pots. :sack:

Not a problem! The math included in the original post does not account for INT gear. The benefit of investing into INT gear will help you reach your target MP sooner (thus saving you time and money on leech), however it's recommended but not required.

If you have a bishop that's all you need :) If your plan is to primarily self-leech, and your plan is to eventually make a SE mule, then yes, it's more efficient to leech 2 character than it is to leech 1 character at a time.

Feel free to message me, happy to help as you have questions on your adventure!
