How to unstuck yourself (fix "already logged in" issue)

Since I keep seeing the shoutbox being spammed with "please dc X char" I'm just gonna put this here to make it easier on the gm's since there really is no need for them to do all this extra work.

Step 1:
restart your client

Step 2:
Attempt to log in again. If you get "already logged in" message, restart your client again. If you get past password screen you can now unstuck your char by attempting to log on to game server with it (logging in as usual).
This will cause you to dc back to login screen, but also simultaneously disconnect the character from in-game, which means that you are now free to log in as normal and play.

 

Basically, but it normally only takes 1 restart.

I don't know weather this was a recent update, but about 2 weeks ago when I realized that restarting the client worked, I was attempting to log in for a good 10 minutes with no success. (As soon as I restarted the client it worked fine though.)
