    u can kill a boss with all jobs, today i soloed pap on my fp with pretty bad gear..
    But i think if you skip mage (that arent much boss friendly) go for warrior

    Hero and Paladin is a great choice for new players that want to attack boss.

    Bishops are really good for new players. But less attacking more support in boss.
