    I' know people have had this discussion many times before me, but I just wanna say that I wish people wouldn't buy and sell fame... :'(
    To me, the whole idea of it is to encourage people to be helpful, friendly and nice, and to reward them for it.
    I've read the debate on Snow's fame service and I can understand the comparison to leaching, but it still saddens me how these things decrease the value of something that (unlike levels) is meant to make the environment more friendly...

    The problem is, after playing for 2 years, I got famed randomly/for helping about 20 times tops. No one nowadays fames like the old days + the manual feature that was implanted on fame system, doesn't let randomly defame people who are assholes. So theres loops around this and a huge debate might come out of this.

    Just to clarify, yukkichanyukkichan, I'm not going against your specific thread or anything.
    I know that one fame service or one comment aren't going to change the whole server... I just wanted to express my opinion on the subject.

    That doesn't mean people should buy fame imo. The reason people expect more than this amount of fame is because fame merching decreased the value

    I do agree that fame merching kinda destroys the idea fame had to me in old maple, but people are free to decide whether to buy it or not. Some new players to the server sell fame in order to get start money, buying fame from them is the same idea as buying fame from fame merchers.
