Mage gear progression

Assuming you're going LUKless at this point of time

Weapon : Maple Staff -> Maple Lama Staff -> Maple Wisdom Staff / Shine Wand or Ele wand(70) -> Ele wand(130)
INT bathrobe
Zakum Helm if you can afford
INT earring < Scrolls are relatively cheap now.
INT cape < Scrolls are also relatively cheap now.
Shield : Upgrade to Mystic shield if you have enough LUK.

 

As a bishop, I would suggest you ignore all gears. Just grind with basic gears. Nocturnal or maple staff/wand if you really need it. Otherwise, keep it to clean gears. As a level 50 cleric, you won't need gears as the damage increase on heal is very little.
If you have funds, focus on robes, gloves, shoes, shield, cape, and earring. These are gears that support you long term, even when you reach Bishop.

 

I would suggest getting common INT like bathrobe, > earrings > scrolled wg> racoon eye. In this order. Those will give u dmg, more max mp at lvl up, and u can use them later to hp wash a attacker, very worth it... and its true.
Get normal nocturnal staff and normal elemental wand.
I would try to scroll myself its fun.
Start with 10% then 60% or just 60% .
Hunt master chronos for scrolls for cash money

Do the NLC quest to get the Nocturnal Staff!
