Well, now, you're talking about personal preference. Then there are some who like exploding stars, or teddy bears, things that pop and look flashy, or even pumpkin heads or skulls.

 

If you double check in cash shop/donor shop you'll notice that most weapons are universal! (aka. work for most weapons)

To be fair, the rankings don't show a lot of NX items still, like Zealot Lantern (great for NL imo).
