Notice Regarding Castellan Toad;

I suggest a reduction to 10k magic damage on both bosses. this way ppl that washed for horntail can still wash a little bit more in order to be able to do those bosses.

i suggest we dont cater to anyone who only washed the minimum.
just let them save up 3-5 years of nx and let them remake their character(s) so they can wash to 30k hp

This is assuming a few things

1. You have access to all 9 CH's spawns. (No one else killing)
2. You can kill them effectively solo (It is 1.1B HP)

As of right now I don't know many warrior that can do over 7m DPM (This is on apple), which would take about 1 hour 57 minutes.
Coming to roughly 18 hours wiping all 9 channels (Assuming you breeze past the JQ needed)
This just sounds like not a thing anyone can do on a daily basis.

Second scenario would be a party of 6, 1 Bishop 6 Melee type attackers (7m*5) = 35m DPM.
This would take about 35 minutes, assuming that the EXP is split among all the players evenly (95.6/6 = 16m per member~)
For 9 channels that would roughly take 5 hours and only give 144m EXP per member.

So no the numbers are not infact 900m/24 hours as it's just inlikely for a player to commit to this, or have all 9 channels uncontested.

Well if it was to come out rn it would probably be just warriors so lets look at:
Composition #3, Hero/Drk doing 7m dpm each on apple + HS (then leave map after HSing) both the hero and drk will actually get additional exp since HS and will kill it in about 80minutes.
12hrs for 900m+ exp( w.e HS bonus gives you )
*This is the worst comp by far*

Now all these newer players joining, lets say a BM and a NL wash 3 years for the required HP and has the same gear composition as Franco and I:

Perf composition(3 years of washing) BM/NL + HS(leave map)
BM/NL DPM output would be around 28m on apple, so about ~40mins to kill 1 toad.
this duo would get about 900m+ in 6 hours, 150m+ per hour.

Keep in mind im looking at longevity of the server, of course right now not many will be able to do it but in 3 years if you get a duo like this, leveling would be a joke.

 

There will be a major delay inbetween killing the Castellan.
If you aren't relatively good at JQ's or find them annoying you will have an EXTREMELY hard time maneuvering through the channels.
There will be no FM button available in the map, so you will have to do the JQ everytime.

Your DPM most likely is based on ones found at HT (I'm assuming), but unfortunately Castellan's defences are much higher than any boss.
HT often has 1.1 - 1.8k defence, while Castellan on both bodies has 4.3k defence.
You'll see your damage drop significantly, and time to kill the boss extended. (On top of the JQ).

Your assumptions are also extremely pricey, keeping with your 40 minute timers and assuming straight appling to maintain the time.
That's 4 apples for the BM and 3 apples for the NL every channel. Adding up to 63 apples total daily, that's a ridiculous number to use. And simply with the current apple market and method to obtain apples that is 100% unsustainable. (will be a greater amount once you supplement the additional 3k defense)

Your assumptions also exclude the fact that you aren't the only ones playing legends, and that there will be players who recognize the amount of EXP gained from this boss, and try to take it down as well.

Though I understand and agree that the EXP of this boss is a little high, your examples are just a little overboard and something that is very difficult to accomplish.

 

One should note too that there's a mini-maze after the JQ which will eat up time as well if you are not familiar with the routing.

Has any decision on this been made?

 

Still think that making castellan an instanced boss like "The boss" is the least that shoud be done.

 

Has there been any progress on this issue? I would like to see Castellan added in at some point soon! (Not that I can kill him ... but hey, you know.)

Otherwise, what are the concerns holding things up now? I am sure the community could come together and chip in more feedback/ideas to help the situation.

 

biggest issue is probably the HP required to do the boss so balancing is the problem (most likely)
