Macintosh Key press lag? Rollover?

I have noticed a fairly consistent pattern when using my Windows desktop keyboard versus my Macbook Pro's.

While my desktop keyboard allows me to press and hold and register one key immediately after another, I can't seem to do this on my Macbook. For example, I'm attacking monsters on the right, then want to quickly turn left, then press and hold attack button. I can do this seamlessly on my desktop keyboard, but my Mac requires me to wait very briefly after turning left before pressing/holding the attack button. (Or jumping then hitting the attack button before landing. Works on desktop keyboard fine. With Mac I have to wait a bit.)

My "Delay Until Repeat" is already set to its lowest setting.

Any ideas?

I clearly stated in my OP that the key delay setting is set to its lowest.

 

I've tried this before. It simply changes the effect from "accented key popup" to "key repeat." Definitely good, but doesn't fix the issue.
