I want to give you some advice.

Consider the exponential rate at which our technology grows.

Now, let's consider those that still write paper checks at the checkouts. They're struggling.

So it's a good idea to be as fluent as possible with technology, especially for us, and even more so for future generations.

But even if we don't keep up, what matters then?
Memories.

Our ratio of time spent in binary vs. time spent in reality looks about like that graph above, with time spent in binary being the Y-axis.

Old people love their photo albums for a reason. Keep it all. If you're a web devoloper, programmer, etc., that shameful project is never trash. Every screenshot of this game will make you smile in 40 years. In 40 years, your current chosen operating system will make you laugh. Our online avatars from various games will have a special place in our digital photo albums, because we made them, and that's huge. I could go on and on with examples and how they will be memories that are different than anything kept by previous generations.

TL;DR-

Point is, with every generation, we fail to document more and more because it's hard to even realize how important all of this is due to the trend of technology. Keep your photo album fat, and you'll be thankful for it later.
