Area bosses disappearing?

    Just wondering if there is a mechanic where area bosses (like Zeno, Eliza) disappear after a certain amount of time after spawning? Because multiple times now I've waited at their maps, went afk for a bit, came back, and I see the chat message saying they've spawned, but they are nowhere to be found.
    I mean it's possible someone else happened to swoop in when I was gone and killed it, but this has happened to me multiple times and when I'm was only away for like 20 minutes. It seems unlikely someone else timed it so perfectly OnionF6

    That means they got killed. People farm them for monster book cards, scrolls, etc.

    Can' I report whoever kills it if I've been waiting in the map since I'm still technically the map owner?

    Depends how long ago it was when you killed a mob, as well as the level you are.

    "Hence, both cases will be settled by using the @mapowner command, which displays the player who owns the map. For the Jr Balrog map specifically, the one who first entered the map will have pseudo-mapowner, and has the right to ask other players to CC. This is proven by a screenshot with the @time command used."

    If you didn't ask them to CC and you don't have any proof (screenshot), it's not enforceable. Tough for you but it makes sense, otherwise i'll make mules that just AFK in a map and kill all area bosses in ML.

    Well first of all, if you aren't attentive enough to even notice anyone killing the boss and go afk 20 minutes at a time chances are you already lost the mapowner.

    Even if you DID somehow have mapowner, it's kind of hard to report someone when you have no screenshots or video proof of them killing your boss in the act, with mapowner text display, timestamp, and everything.

    Not saying I was going to report someone, was only asking a question. In the end tho, I just waited and youtubed until it spawned and killed it SeemsGood

    Seriously tho, I'm surprised area bosses are so contested, I thought people only camped good exp ones like HH/BF.
