Completed Scheduled Maintenance December 9, 2019

Hello Maplers,

We will be performing a Scheduled Maintenance on Monday December 9, 2019. It will last approximately 2 hours. Upon completion, the game will be brought back online and service will be restored. Once restored, you can log in and play!

Time:
6 PM server time

What will be unavailable:

• All MapleLegends game servers and channels
• Merchants will be closed
• In-game name change requests using @changeign automatically processed

Changes and Updates:

• The complete re-code of the Cash Shop, making it 100% GMS-like (more info next post)
• Third attempt at using the foothold logic from Miho
• Changed the way the Cash Shop loads, making the server reboot even quicker
  
• Internal changes and bug fixes
• Mapletip changes

~ The complete re-code of the Cash Shop ~

At first sight, you may think as user: Okay, so all that is changed is that the code is less janky right?

It's a good thought, but absolutely not.

This is a very big change, and a very exciting one for us, and you.

The Cash Shop in most servers and server emulators are very basic. It reads the files from the .wz files and that's it.
In GMS, and when you make use of all the packets, the Cash Shop is a lot different.

Here's a demonstration of something we previously couldn't do and now can:

Demonstrated here is an item that can only be purchased a limited amount of times, updated live and on the fly. As soon it sold out, you can see on the right-side (second client) a big 'SOLD OUT' icon appearing. This is to show it happens on every client, and not only yours. This gives us an option to add something into the Cash Shop that can only be bought a limited amount of times!

Some other but not all things that can now be done:
- The ability to modify the Cash Shop without .wz edits or even restarting the server
- The ability to make a single item or even a whole category have discounts in a set % (Demo: click here)
- The ability to modify the 'best item' list without .wz edits

... And much more.

In end yes, the code is much better now as well. I look forward to us making use of some of these new things in the future!

Huge thumbs up to shot and those associated with this Cash Shop update. Hopefully with me mentioning how much this change is the update is much more appreciated than it would be if we just said 'Re-code of the Cash Shop'

 

Thats not really in the client so its not possible either.

 

If its not listed it wont be changed
