Completed Unscheduled Maintenance: April 22, 2020

    Hello Maplers,

    We will be performing an Unscheduled Maintenance on Wednesday April 22. It will last UNTIL IT'S DONE (it will be quite a while). Upon completion, the game will be brought back online and service will be restored. Once restored, you can login and play!

    Time:
    1:30 PM server time (less than 30 minutes from this post)

    What will be unavailable:
    • All MapleLegends game servers and channels
    • Merchants will be closed
    • In-game name change requests using @changeign automatically processed

    Changes and Updates:
    • Preparations of the Server Upgrade
    • Behind the scene changes
    Server upgrades faq:

    Q: Server upgrade?
    A: Since 2016 MapleLegends is powered by the same hardware. Recently we've received an insane amount of user increase, and it's time for an upgrade that people deserve

    Q: How will this affect me?
    A: We've made sure the server location is very similar to our current. Logically things should only be the same or better, and definitely not worse

    Q: Will this fix the slight lag problems with 1900+ online
    A: If things stay logically, yes

    Q: Will this fix problems such as Singaporeans on Starhub having random problems?
    A: I can't answer this. However, right now I want to believe this isn't our fault since users from Starhub are reporting problems all over the place, not just Legends.

    Q: Last week you guys had a few hiccups where literally whole server disconnect for 30 seconds. Is that solved with this upgrade?
    A: Not sure. We are not quite sure if the problems were hardware or network related

    This is a behind the scenes change, so client issues still remain. If you've faced client disconnects (as in, ONLY YOU disconnect) December build is still the go-to fix. The changes we're doing today is to hopefully combat server disconnect (as in, EVERYONE disconnects/rollbacks simultaneously).

    Client disconnects and requirement of December vs February will be fixed in the next patch (which is different from maintenance). When will this happen? "Soon"TM xD

    LOLOLOLOL Do we have that many Singaporeans here that this Starhub issue actually got mentioned?

    It sure isn't an issue with Legends. Starhub is pretty messed up. At any rate, I heard that Starhub users who were affected by the disruption of service on 15 Apr can request for a rebate from Starhub by 26 Apr.

    I use Feb version, it logs off several times a day, more than I like I guess, I don't use the patch, I probably will not use it, it lags a lot.
