We could buy them out of the Cash Shop, or be the very unfortunate recipient of one from Gachapon.

On GMS (in order to save bandwidth?), when you went onto a map...we'll use Kerning City...you wouldn't see everyone on the Kerning City map - only those within a certain proximity. So, when you use the regular chat feature, you would only hear from those within your proximity and they could only hear you if you were in their proximity. The Megaphone was made so that everyone on the map would hear you.

On MapleLegends, the proximity feature is not present. You can hear everyone on the same map regardless of distance. This means the Megaphone is nothing more than a way to use regular chat in a bluish text in a cream-colored backdrop. They are pointless. Why are they here?

    - Seriously, why are they here? Why are they still a thing? People may have found a use for them and I could be totally oblivious to it, so please let me know if I'm missing something. Otherwise, can we remove them from the game - or at least from Gachapon?

I found it super useful when organizing guild boss runs that involve many players. Like them meme zak/cwk runs. Sometimes people dont shut up so as organizer its useful to have highlighted messages so that people pay attention

They are messages that are more noticable and they definitely work. When i see someone use it in a spammy area i read the blue one that stands out and not the rest.

I use it to scare level 199 characters grinding to make them think they accidentally level up
