    After recently returning to maplelegends from a long hiatus ive noticed that 4/6 of my characters ingame name has been altered, the reason being the @changeign feature which has later been introduced to the server. My suggestion is that those players who has had their ign taken away, should get the opportunity to pick a new ingame name for free. fair enough that our ingame is passed on to more active players, but with the high price of 20,000 and 50,000 donor points i'd love the feature to be able pick another ingame name. Taking a break or a hiatus shouldn't come with the punishment of being stuck with an alternated ign that you aren't able to switch.

    For me personally, my characters had a number added. Name0 for example.

    Seems not worst request since having you pay for a name you originally had to get a new name is a bit nasty. Message me on Discord. Do note you cant get your old name back though

    This might sound like a stupid question but is the character name linked to itself or by account?

    What I mean is if I have three characters named SmolSatoko, SmoiSatoko and SatokoPouts
    if I log on both Smol and Smoi and leave Pouts alone is/will Pouts be available if its not logged onto a set duration?

    Idk the answer to your questions but unless the IGN you are trying to save is really popular I don't think you need to worry about someone else taking it.

    Apparently it also takes years before they become available anyway.

    Well if you have any characters that you know have been inactive you can check if you can take the name or not.
