Notice Regarding Donations

Would there be any chance of being able to buy something like potion packages?

If you are talking about using donation to buy potion packages, then no. Donating only allows you to get cosmetics stuff that doesn't give you an advantage over others as a "thank you" for donating. Kim is strongly against any form of p2w.

 

Potions hardly count as pay2win. Since the server is new and looking at the other thread the highest level on the server only has 53m. I feel like MS communities haven't experienced true pay2win before. Pay2win is what people say when a donor is straight up destroying free to play players. Buying potions would be considered pay2progress. It's not like you're scrolling items making other peoples items less rare. You're keeping yourself alive in a game that requires constant potion drinking. If anything a lesser form for voting NX would help as well.

 

In my opinion, pay2win is categorized as anything that gives paying players an advantage. Giving potions to donators is giving them an advantage. Starting out in this server is supposed to be a challenge. You mentioned that it's hardly pay to win, but even if it's just a little, it's still pay to win.

 

Yeah i get you. Just calling it pay2win kinda irks me haha. Going from playing WoW private servers where donors get gear that allow you to totally smash free to play players to this is a bit weird to me. I guess since the game has a ranking system based on your level it does make sense why it would be considered pay2win.

 

Yeah the word "pay2win" is a bit strong, but usually it's used in the sense of what crisk said. After hitting level 35 and doing some gach your money problems should ease up. The struggle is to get there, and it helps to do quests that gives pots.

 

Who the hell is gonna pay real money for pots o.o

Not any worse than paying real money for digital pants. At least pots have a purpose.

 

Pots are easily obtainable from any store and do not last forever.. Cosmetics that you get from donating last forever and some (i believe) cannot be bought with vote cash :O

 

<----------- This guy. Some people have no jobs and can sit on a game all day. I'm the guy that uses the excess amount of money i have to make up for having to work full time. I don't think i've ever played a f2p game/server where i haven't donated.

 

i'll donate, but just to help out with server costs here and there.

Is that in cBox? Perhaps a donor sub-forum only accessibly to donors/mods/admin.

Splitting up an already small community isn't a good idea.

 

Hmm...I suppose you're right . I didn't really think about that. Though perhaps in the future?

I wish there was some incentive to actually participating in the forums, though.... I might post something in the suggestions thread about that later.

 

The incentive is discussion. After all that is the point of a forum.
