    Hey guys,

    After asking myself "is this worth scrolling" a million times, I decided to write a program that'll help answer that question!

    You can access it at scrollstats.ml. You need to input some info on the scrolls you're using, and it'll output the average stats the scrolls will yield, as well as some graphs showing the probability distributions.

    I wrestled with how bombing an item should be calculated, and in the end I incorporated two options for calculation. The first is more of an economics-type calculation, where destroying an item is calculated as a negative number. I think this is helpful for expensive items and items that range in stats. The second is more bland, as it just tells you the probability of destruction, then the statistics given that the item is not destroyed.

    If you have any suggestions/comments/criticisms please let me know! Also pls don't look at the source code, this was my first time using javascript SlimeSweat2

    I'd suggest something to make it easier to input scroll data for the graph construction.

    Remove the 1st step, as it's redundant with the 5th step of actually inserting the scrolls.
    Just make it appear a table of all types of % possible

    so like
    10% -> Amount : INPUT & Stats : INPUT
    30% -> Amount : INPUT & Stats : INPUT
    60% -> Amount : INPUT & Stats : INPUT
    70% -> Amount : INPUT & Stats : INPUT
    100% -> Amount : INPUT & Stats : INPUT

    If in the previous request I said no to dark scrolls, then the 30% and 70% input are not visible in the table form.

    Update:
    - made the questions dynamic, so that clicking/typing new inputs will regenerate the table
    - changed percentages to a drop-down menu, so no need to type numbers or click a checkbox for dark scrolls
    - removed CDF graph due to low utility

    Thank you to Oradious for helpful comments!

    Re: comment above

    Thank you for the suggestion, Motto! This does seem like a better interface, but if you're using calculation A, the order in which you use the scrolls matters. I do like it, but I don't want to have different tables for different calculations, due to lack of uniformity. If people think calculation A is useless then I think I'll implement it (but personally I like calculation A).

    Long time no update...

    January 4: removed the calculations that includes cost of booming and changed the scroll % to a drop-down menu instead of text input. Now it just tells you the probability that you boom, and the probabilities in the event that you don't boom. My concern is that the probabilities in the graph can be misconstrued since it shows conditional probabilities.

    June 18: added 65% scrolls

    I hope this tool is still useful for people!

    Excellent (and very useful) website! I noticed that the site has gone offline recently, in case you weren't aware.
