SKU BEATS THE GAME

No, but I've heard GMs have been cracking down lately on self-aware islander bots.

 

1. Sure. I'm still gonna need to line my pockets for stuff like attack pots and the buyable PQ cards, so I'll consider income from the actual card hunting as going toward that.

2. There are several methods to get your pets on both floors, but the easiest is to take one pet to the top, teleport down to the stairs, take your other pet(s) out and let them jump off, then assume the healing position. I've found it's best to use pets that have NOT been upgraded by Kenta's Advice, because otherwise they'll occasionally fling themselves around the map and get teleported back to you, abandoning their intended positions.

3. Yeah, don't worry. I don't intend to crash any markets, and even if I did, this is gonna be a long term gambit. There will be time for recovery.

 

[ENTRY #1: A MOUNTAIN TO CLIMB]

Change of plans. Hear me out: Memory Lane 5 is okay, but in my recent tests, the droprates have not inspired confidence. Turns out, it may not be as great as I've talked it up to be.

Assuming that to be true, then what? Well, I've hit upon a bit of inspiration with regard to a certain Exchange Quest.


THE QUEST
If you're clueless about the CWK Exchange, here's what you need to know: as a custom feature in MapleLegends, you can access a special exchange that has a small chance (about 1 in 28) of rewarding a White Scroll.

For a single trade, you must offer up 45 of four kinds of Badges obtained from mobs in the Crimsonwood Mountain area, as well as 45 Crimson Hearts from the big bad Guardians near the peak.

The exchange never struck me as very profitable, which is why I've never earnestly tried it... until now. Doing the math, it seems that with enough practice, we might be able to turn this pipe dream into something decently profitable.

THE TRIAL RUN
I did a preliminary run to refamiliarize myself with the whole CWK zone. My run was bad. I wasn't clearing mobs efficiently, and I probably wasn't even using the most optimal maps for a fair portion of the hunt. Here was my time:



I'm thinking we can get it down to one hour.

So here's the deal. This week, I'll be committing a degenerate amount of hours toward achieving the sub 1. Let's aim for four exchanges a day, seven days in a row.
And yes, I'll be running two feetclerics the whole time. Gotta keep that income up.

[ENTRY #1.1: THE QUEST FOR SUB 1 - DAY 1]

Yo. As promised, here are my first four runs of the week:

RUN #1


Took my time paying attention to spawns and throwing together a kind of "rotation" for the maps - though when you're not talking about mages or dumb simple maps like 7F, that word (rotation) is used pretty loosely.

RUN #2


Big poggers improvement, meh reward.

RUN #3


A solid improvement. Funny story: this time would have been better, but one of my feet-controlled laptops ran out of battery in the midst of the run. Had to get my cleric back online and everything. Always remember your chargers!

All-around poor drop luck, not to mention I was burning out at this point. Still, it could have been worse!
