Which class is best for no pot challenge?

Go for cleric. Your entire 2nd job is potionless after lvl 40 if you have some mp eater. Plus you can always sit down and regen some mp

You have a skill that can convert HP to MP.
And you have a skill that converts damage into HP.

Also when you are charged, you have access to three attacks that don't use mp

 

The bandit's and assassin's mana regeneration from endure works even when active, so you would get 23 mana per 10 seconds.
The hp portion requires you to stand still.

 

Plus CB and Hermit have Chakra and Drain respectively!

 

Good luck getting to that stage without pots, though

 

cleric is probably the best option imo, due to mp eater + heal allowing u to heal without losing mp

i think hero/pally are great second class. power guard to reduce damage received. and having endure means u can rest anywhere u wish. if u made it to third job, improving mp will provide u with passive mp even while casting slash blast.

if ur confident to 4th job, i think shads are the true 2nd best, due to meso guard + shad shifter. but i don't think thats realistic

 

Cleric or besinner (full LUK beginner with anniversary claw)

 

i dont think be a melee is a good idea since u will get hit all the time
