Show summons behind characters

    Ever done bossing with (a bunch of) mages? It's truly annoying that their summons are in the way of your character and your animations, right?
    Can they please be displayed behind characters? Or at least just behind your character, like how your character is always displayed in front of other players?

    It's the most annoying thing. Then they take it to a whole other level with big bang spam omg.

    Or just have them float a bit higher, like archer birds. Then at least the issue isn’t there anymore when you’re at the same platform. We’ll just hate it when there’s a mage below us which happens less often.

    Or make their sprites a lot smaller, like baby dragon.

    Or do all of the above.

    Either way, change something please :3

    totally agree, hope this isn't gonna be some client restriction kinda thing. Also hoping for damage on DR bosses such as Dunas and PB to be displayed behind the boss as well, or a larger more prominent DR icon.

    DR is actually huge, but it’s behind the dmg numbers so you don’t see it :)

    Yes it's huge but as u mentioned since it's behind the numbers, it may well be not big enough. If the damages arent possible to be pushed behind, other than resizing it, they could perform a small tweak by showing a color coded aura around the boss HP bar glowing or moving it's DR skilling/icon lower and perhaps on the leg/name tag area instead.

    In Pink Bean there's more damage gained from mages having summons out than there is from keeping it clear enough for DKs to zerk. Most iffy runs just shoot themselves in the foot so people can see.

    The whole system is just wonky, the mob you're attacking, especially en masse, should not be the furthest thing back in the background. If I were to re-layer everything I would put summons farthest back, followed by pets, followed by other players, followed by other players attack procs, followed by the mob, followed by your personal attack procs, and finally, your character in front.

    think someone asked it before, it's limited by client restrictions sadly. This option came way later post bb nearing the 5th job era

    This definitely requires client edits, and on top of not knowing yet if it's possible at all without it being extremely jank, we have a lot of other stuff on our plates right now when it comes to client edits.

    Is this something that is possible with wz edits? I remember bonkorn was able to change the animations of many moves via changing the wz file.
