Lower the time for 'dance' event timer

    Let's face it, while the concept of the dancing event is alright asking to avoid RNG obstacles for an entire 1:30 sucks especially considering once your caught between two obstacles you're fucked. I find the event more frustrating than fun due to how heavy RNG it is. Sure, you have a week to clear it but at it's current state I just see myself bothering to try it.

    You have plenty of time to dodge the obstacles that warp you out and the lines on the DJ turntables are the boundary of the hitboxes of those. Yeah, if you get unlucky and get a string of 4 in a row that you can’t move through, then it’s unfortunate, but 90 seconds totally doable over a few attempts.

    Its not about whether this is doable or not. Doesn't matter if you caan win 100% of the time or only 1% of the time.

    its not fun. Nothing about the dancing is fun. Its just RNG going left-right left-right, and you can justt get cucked by RNG. No jumping, no up, down. Just left and right.

    Better off deleting this event entirely and replacing it with something else.

    If you don’t enjoy it, nothing is forcing you to do it? Some things are just out of your control: that’s life. It’s not the end of the world to start the dance over a few times.

    Fun is subjective. I think the dance is easily the most fun part of this event: it’s entertaining and the music is great.

    youre right, fun is subjective, but maybe a poll should be done on how many people like doing a left-right button pressing contest in which the outcome is decided way too much by RNG.

    There will be a feedback thread at the end of the event as always :) 90% of this game is dominated by RNG, that's just the way it is and the way a large majority of MMO's work.

    I personally also find MMF dance a great deal of fun, even after getting hit at 0:00 remaining and not being awarded the win :^)

    Is it possible to remove the formations that are not possible to dodge? That is, the ones where there are 4 or 5 in a row. I don’t think it’s possible to walk out even if you have instant reaction time, which makes some runs literally impossible.

    I think from a design standpoint, event buffs should be relatively accessible to all players. I think the dance minigame is a good concept and I commend the devs for using their creative brains to put it together. However as someone with a potato computer who has failed the dance 20+ times now without getting buffs, it’s currently a more frustrating experience than anything. I think removing the chance of impossible runs would help reduce frustration.

    It’s really not so hard. It’s a once a week quest for every character and can consistently be finished within 5-10 minutes.

    it’s not uncommon for me to first try it now though. My main tip is to try not to stand in areas that have not been hit with obstacles for a while, and avoid the corners as much as possible so you have more room to maneuver.

    Conceptually the dance is pretty great, though it could use some minor tweaks to make it more fun and less frustrating if it returns in any upcoming year.

    Limit of 3 consecutive nodes would be a great change. Essentially all of my saltiness comes from inescapable instances, and it only gets compounded on bad luck streaks between runs.

    Horizontal hazards would also be nice to break up all of the vertical attacks. Could add in a couple small raised platforms to dodge a new floor laser, and add a second laser that needs to be ducked to dodge. Flying objects like those in jump quests could also be added to give more chaos.

    I think we asked our dev pasta if it was possible to remove the 3+ consecutive nodes and he said it was impossible. He had to do a ton of magic workaround stuff to get it working in v62, but if we decide to bring it back next year we will definitely improve on it :)

    There was an attempt to add horizontal attacks and different hazards, but to put it simply: The technology to implement that in v62 is just not there yet.

    I dont know how you all do this... I agree with the thread. 1.30 minutes is just way too long for shit like this to happen EVERY TIME. Like.. how do you dodge this
