Customized Damage Lines for Visibility

    I think it would be nice if you could differentiate your own damage lines from others. For many classes, this doesn't really matter - positioning is fairly forgiving for ranged classes. However, for melee classes, positioning is very finicky and becomes a meticulous chore, especially in content like HT where you are constantly questioning whether or not you're hitting something at all.

    Customized damage lines via unique coloration could be a very useful QoL change that has direct impact to player skill. It seems like Staff has already taken a few steps into making gameplay visibility a bigger priority (i.e. PB damage lines change).

    Here are a couple of unique situations that would benefit from this change:
    • Heroes and Dark Knights will know if their positioning is correct to cleave Horntail midhead from either side thus giving visual indicators if you are performing well.
    • You can better distinguish if a status debuff has taken place over you via customized colored Misses (Blind) or no more damage lines showing up (Sealed).
    • You can better identify your damage lines to track your own growth with weapon/skill level ups. This adds a rewarding sentiment/connection to your character.

    Not a very high priority at all as it would simply be QoL, but it is something I would enjoy.
    Perhaps it could be toggleable via in-game window kind of like @megaphone, or something you could toggle through the Configuration Menu.

    Also aids in helping shads determine whether they're hitting Ariel in PB or not without turning on pickpocket, and buccs with regards to whether flash fist is hitting things in general without squinting at the energy bar, fwiw.

    i write sometime, i played alot of ragnarok, and in ragnarok have things u can edit/enable like disable the mapback, change how stats efffect work etc idk if staff accpet and if is possible do something like it here, but is Very usefull!

    From my understanding, this kind of feature isnt supported by v62 client. Only thing that can be done atm is a complete change to everyone’s numbers. This kind of change would probably require a decent time of dev resources/time to implement I believe.

    I suggest the slightly change of MP cost for all attack skills in some cases:
    When attacks nothing (neither damage number nor miss given by attacker), MP cost -1 each cast than it attacks something.

    example:
    brandish hitting enemy 25 MP each cast
    brandish fail to hit any target 24MP each cast

    Maybe it is possible for v062 client.

    Personally I'd like dmg numbers given and taken by others players to be at like 25-50% opacity.

    Well… we still need to see other players their skills and damages to some degree in order to:

    And report them for map stealing lol

    It’d be weird to see mobs randomly die on your map and no know why.
