I don't believe holding mesos is a good use of my time.

Mesos alone do not help progress my goals and gameplay. They do not accumulate interest nor have any benefit other than looking at a large number. Especially these days when most players are only accepting Prestigious Coins as payment for trades.

I need my mesos to work for me, time is money afterall. So anytime I have excess "spending" mesos, I immediately go into the FM to attempt to "flip" my mesos. I do this buy buying and re-selling. It is a lengthy process which involves learning many things such as market trends, meta trends and much more. By analyzing what works and what doesn't is a huge time sink but I believe the payoff is worth it because I value my time more than anything.

It's a nice feeling logging into more mesos than what you had the day before.

 

no, I dont have the risk tolerance for actual stock/options investing.

I prefer tangible assets (things that I can actually touch and hold). But, if I were to get deeper into investing it would probably be real estate.

On average I spend about 1 hour in the Free Market everyday, this includes:

1. Manually resetting every single FM store (currently operating out of CH1FM21 and CH1FM22)
This is the biggest time sink of all, its such a hassle to re-setup the stores but it has to be done.

2. Re-checking Owl of Minerva to see how the market has reacted to the current day to day server life
Most of the time, nothing actually changes, unless someone decides to go big on like scrolling Knuckles or INT overalls, etc.

But honestly it's mostly about the timing (luck) and consistency (dedication).

If i notice there is huge variance on popular items I think it's beneficial to consolidate the market.

By doing this players have an easier time to purchase from me, there is less friction because if they're trying to acquire bulk quantity, they do not have to go around shop to shop to find the desired amount. I guess you can justify it as a "convivence fee" of sorts but it mostly has my mesos tied up in items for longer than they should be. As Rudy says "markets can stay wrong and bad alot longer than you realize".

So lately, I've been continuing holding mesos moreso than usual while still continuing to add to my position but now I've started to be a bit more methodical and choosing carefully what I decide to hold instead of hoping to get lucky by over diversifying my portfolio.

I am also actively trying to reduce the time spent in the FM and spend more time doing other things in ML.

 

About as much time as Fartsie does at 5-6.

Joking aside, he is a true powerhouse and I admire his work ethic.

If you discount the scheduled things that I do on ML (hosting HT twice a week and attending Pink Bean once a week) then honestly it just depends on my day to day schedule. It's hard to pinpoint an exact number here but I guess lately average of 4-5 hours a day.

I've been trying to fit in more things to do such as Zakum (which I hadn't used to do very often before) and now more than ever, CWKPQ.

I really enjoy CWKPQ I find it a great use of my time. The EV of 1 run is about 10-15mill and alot of EXP. It's also really easy and those who know me know I love the ez content.

During event time however, if there is bonus event exp, I will probably play more often to try to make the most of it!

 

Owls are basically free2win.

I explained to Shivering that it is basically unlimited mesos.

If utilized correctly, anyone can build up the purchasing power to do anything they wanted in this game, good or bad. It's a bit too concerning for me to be less vague in this post, but if owling were not a thing it wouldn't change the game much and I think people still continue on.

People will still be able to freely and easily trade in the market but without the instant win button that is Owl of Minerva.

if i still was well-practiced, yes. I used to play competitively for about 4 years and then stopped to focus on being a Tournament Organizer for my region.

It's difficult to compete in the bracket while juggling the event's production and operations.
