It really isn't. You are speaking as if being a 'core attacking skill' is some magical shield against staff taking action to nerf it. Based on what happened to mages, it certainly doesn't seem so. Just to take action against ults they were willing to nerf every single mage skill for such a long time before reverting.

 

Show me where I stated it's "some magical shield against staff taking action to nerf." I simply stated it's apples to oranges, drastically different scenarios for drastically different skills. Also, as explained, mages were nerfs by design, not by staff, if I read the post from staff correctly. To compare staff adjustments to original functionality is another bad faith argument, imo.

edit: ok i went through it. kinda based.
a few years ago right before Pink Bean arrived, I thought of the idea of bringing in smokecreen mules to deploy them every few seconds. now people are actually going to do it.
