Bottomwear for Dex (and all its flavors)

Hi everyone,

As of now, Bottomwear for Dex scrolls (10, 30, 60, 70, and even 100%) have two variants. One version gives speed alongside the Dex, the other gives accuracy. Off the top of my head, this isn't the case for any other set of scrolls.

This leads to confusion, unnecessary owls, debate on whether or not one should be more valuable than the other, etc.
(Spoiler alert; yes, accuracy variant should be more valuable)

Anywho, I suggest resolving this situation by removing the speed variant (while potentially rebalancing the drop situation by adding the accuracy variant to the mobs that dropped the speed variant).

I don't think the problem of 'legacy gear' really is a tremendous issue here. One might argue that they will no longer be able to obtain speed on their bottoms, but speed is generally fairly easy to come by and it's not like these speedy legacy bottoms (marvelous term) will give players a notable advantage.

Oooops you're right. Mostly because the accuracy is actually useful whereas the speed hardly is.
Removing the accuracy variant feels more like a general nerf to warriors, which I don't think is necessary or sensible.

Intuitively I also feel like accuracy is a more thematically sound match for dex, but there's probably scrolls to raise as a counter argument to that.

 

Yes, speed is indeed very useful. However, given that warriors and thieves are realistically the only classes that need these scrolls (and thieves don't particularly lack accuracy) I mostly wrote this from the perspective of warriors.
If a warrior doesn't hit 140 speed from their pet equips, idk what to tell ya, it's very easy to come by. The accuracy serves warriors far better.
