Working on self control. That helps. When my eye starts to feel funny and I know one is coming on, I usually sit there and test myself to hold on as long as I can without moving.
This guy's self control is absolutely remarkable. Beyond me. Or maybe mine are worse. But considering his age, he probably just has amazing control.

See a healthcare professional. It seems like the gravity of this pain is beyond the scope of most of the suggestions you've been given. But to add to the little things that might help, possibly try drinking more water. Maybe you are dehydrated? I was reading about distribution of water around the body and how much the brain needs specifically. Sometimes headaches are caused by dehydration.

I tried to find some articles that specifically link cluster headaches and dehydration but I couldn't find much that wasn't anecdotal. Best of luck. SlimeSad

I do see a neurologist who currently has me on Sumatriptan and I use Oxygen when it happens.

So you noticed... every suggestion counts though, and I need all of the suggestions that I can get. I'm really just looking for coping methods from anyone with horrible levels of pain. Because that's all I can do.
Maintaining a good diet/ all health habits comes instinctively from paranoia that I might make this condition worse by lacking something that my body needs. Very good suggestion though, I used to get normal headaches from dehydration when I was young and too stubborn to drink water instead of soda ^.^

Update from my mom, apparently she gets shots for it. She can't remember what's its called but it helps her a lot. Something to ask your doctor about.
