New laptop

    Hey guys,

    I want to buy a new laptop, but i dont have a clue wich laptops are good. I have a few requiremens, and maybe some of you can reccomment me a laptop that fits those requirements:

    - about 1000-1200 euro
    - must be able to play games
    - windows 10
    - must be able to run large programs, for example CATIA v5 and Matlab
    - must have a nummeric keypad
    -prefetably light weight so not too big like a screen at the cinema, must be able to carry with me easily.

    If any of you can reccomment me a nice laptop that would be awesome!

    Well i've already bought a laptop :3
    The MSI GP60 2QF Leopard Pro, very good one and i highly recommend it for anyone else looking for a laptop.

    Lenovo is a good brand for laptops. Search their website for a model you like. I have a T430s which is about 2 years old now and it runs great. I think I bought it new for around ~$1100.

    Seriously if you guys complain about windowns 10 privacy infringements, then you might as wel stop using facebook, google, all social media etc. Probably the best thing to do is to leave civilization and go live in the nature, without any chances of getting connected to the internet, so you can live a nice and private life.

    Besides that i like windows 10. :p

    I get what you're saying, but Windows 10 shares your WiFi password, and that's a big no-no in my book.

    Well i've done some research on the all so great interwebs.
    What i've found is that it shares your wifi with ppl you are friends with (for example on faceboo) but not all the time obviously. If those ppl will are in a range that they are able to connect they can and without having to type the password. They will NOT see what your password is. Also the risks of this automatic connection thing is very low. I've found a great article that explains it all. I will link it here:

    So it can be usefull, but if you dont like it, then you can simply turn it off. I hope this makes you reconsidder about windows 10, if not, idc :p

    As a neutral party here's the real problem people have with windows 10. All of the privacy issues are all opt-out, not opt-in. Meaning they're all on be default, so to someone who's more tech-savvy, or even just curious and takes a peak in the settings, than its not a huge deal we can turn it off. But to the average Joe, most people, who just want to open there computer and go they're not going to know that all of this is even happening, let alone how to turn it off.

    If you're talking about the laptop i bought, i bought it form Coolblue.nl, since its a dutch site, it may not be usefull to you. Unless you are dutch ofc.
    The laptop itself costs 1100 euro.
