    That way you will still keep the summoning bags and safe new people to get their job advancement and such

    This is the same thing i thought of. Afaik there are no other monsters on these maps (job adv places, lpq 101 floor, pot stores, etc) so just block the possibility to use the sacks there.
    Well... 'just'... I don't know about these things but I kinda feel it's a lot of work with editing files MapleF1

    as ive said earlier its also possible to just make the rogs (and other mobs) despawn after 1 minute or so.

    It will just get to the point where so many maps block summoning sacks that there's no point having them anyway. So why even bother?

    You guys say you never heard any complaints about summoning sacks, but then again you aren't the one who has to deal with the constant drama.

    Edit: you know what else was "nostalgic" (aka gms-like)? Hackers, botters, and meso sellers. Shall we disable the autoban and allow hacking?

    It's not a strawman. My point is saying it was like x in gms is a shit excuse. No decision should be made solely on the reasoning because that's how it was on gms.

    Going leave my last reply about all the ideas, but here's why things are complicated:

    Restrictions on sacks on x map: This is handled .wz sided unless you want add extremely ugly checks in the source. Not only that, but its a really tedious process to add this restriction to every single map that I see new people would go. I gave pot stores as example, but its also PQ's, weapon stores, Lith Harbor begin, and the list goes on. And again, if it isn't directed to new people, the sacks were still used to kill specific people out of hate or other reasons

    Remove mobs after x period: This sounds like a great idea but let me tell you how this is terrible behind the scene: We would have to add a check on each map like the other idea. But, we also would have to add a timer on each map. After the timer there needs to be checks done of 'is there any mob in the map? remove it if so.' This sounds normal, but in reality this is terrible in regards of data usage and unnecessary stress into the server. Because you would say 'remove a balrog' if there's a balrog, but how can the server tell its a summoned balrog and not one at the origin map? This needs even more checks to make sure it doesn't remove the balrog from the origin map (same story for other summons). Also, mobs cannot be removed if someone is in the map... more checks! Nice idea on paper, but terrible to execute, as well as simply not being worth our time now. In end, even if this is all applied, the fact that people personal kill other with sacks remains, which is also an issue I (and other) have with sum. sacks.

    Kim, there is one benefit to summon sacks. You can kill AFK Priests with it, when they come back and see that they lost 50+% they'll get demoralized and never become a Bishop. Instead playing a class that isn't objectively broken in v62.

    Curbing the influx of Bishops on MapleBishop, will make everyone happy, so please bring back summoning sacks so I can continue my crusade against all things holy /s

    All I want for Maplemas is a repeatable quest for summoning sacks

    If we ever have 500+ people or so (and so sacks perhaps may not be used for direct harassment only) I may put them back.
