Ability to mute some/all Smegas

I think what Jess meant is to have some kind of client sided hack that causes smegas used by people on the blacklist to not appear in the chat.

 

It'd be nice if the option is there, I get wanting everyone to hear your message...but is it really healthy for the server to just see 100 smegas everyday like S>ULU LEECH PARTNER READY...it's sad that I can't count the amount of times per login that leeching offers are announced to the whole server. I'm not sure how realistic it is to implement, but I propose a filter where you can block messages that use words of your choosing. I'd personally block "S>" and "leech" and call it a day honestly.

I would absolutely love a smega mute, along with every other related suggestion people have listed in this thread.

As I play the game more and get further into it I realize how much more this is a feature that is needed. When in a group trying to use party chat, getting a response from buddy chat, adding skill timers to chat (res for zak), waiting for your expm timer, many other things.

There is nothing more annoying than having to make my entire screen a chat log just so I don't miss something because there is 20 smegas spammed in a minute.

 

If we are able to mute guild chat, alliance chat, and buddy list chat, I don't see why there wouldn't be a "mute smega" option.

Now seriously, I agree about having the option of muting them. Not all smegas are stupid but havign the option would make our chats a bit better

There was recently a JQ competition and pretty much all of the competitors, myself included, suffered badly from avatar smegas causing a short freeze, ruining good runs.
I would love to have an option to mute smegas, or like someone said above filter block specific words like "leech".

Can we make smega's more difficult to get? Make them really expensive in the CS or pay real money for them? Then that will cut out most of the crap...

 

Make it so you need to make an IQ test b4 you buy one. I bet that's all we need
