Add the almighty Maroon Mop into the game

The weapon is so stupid, no matter how it is added, IF it is added, it needs to require at least level 70.

I'm suggesting to keep the level requirement at level 36 but add tedious quest (which must be soloed ofc) and higher str requirement such as 300 str (only able to wear at lvl 60 all stats in str). At least, the player can choose the other equipments to either add str or accuracy. The item wont be too overpowered if the player cant hit anything when equiping this or can deal high dmg to only low lvl monsters. At any point of time, it will not be stronger than the other jobs.

Please do consider the sake bottle too. Either way beginners dont have mastery skill, and are single target with lower hp than magician. The only purpose is for that one hit of high dmg because of the beginner-only equipment.

 

Make it the weapon beginners receive when they reach lv 200.

 

I see this thread is a thing again, anyway I'm still against, for the same reason VonBIT mentioned in the older thread, it ruins diversity for Beginners. It's also asking to buff something that the main reason people play is because it wasn't supposed to be a thing.

• Maybe level 120 requirement? Since higher level mobs have higher HP and Exp, and level 120 is achievable without leech for Perma Beginners

If so, would it be gachapon only, or a drop from a difficult boss, by replacing “common item/equip” ?

• I leveled up a Camper to level 24

• I leveled up a Islander to level 51

• I leveled up a Perma Beginner to level 54 (no leech, no wash)

• I leveled up a 2nd Perma Beginner to level 115 (leeched, mp/hp washed)

With all the 2017-2020 Beginners reaching end tier levels and a few that has HP Washed, but still unable to effectively fight bosses with +20m hp within 1 hour non stop even with perfect gears....

• lets not go into the difficulty of making perfect gears, since inflation is higher than 2017 when this was initially suggested LOL

I highly think that a level adjusted Maroon Mop is still a viable option to have as a weapon for reasonably timed Area Boss runs, such as being able to Big Foot within 1 hour no breaks.

Especially since Timeless/Reverse Weapons that came out with even higher WA.


For Beginners who still wants to Achieve Solo Boss kills with weaker weapons, that's still viable too! It would still be considered to be a BIG achievement compared to using a stronger weapon none-the-less

• Need DPS of 8.88k to kill Big Foot in 1 hour
• 60 sec x 60 min = 3,600 seconds --> 32,000,000hp/3,600sec = 8.88k DPS

TLDR: Clean Weapons

• Crimson Arcglaive needs about 4-5 hours of straight hitting to kill BF without apple. (this amount of hours is commendable! congrats!)
  • Crimson Arcglaive needs about 1.5 hours with apple

• Maroon Mop needs about 1.5-2 hours to straight hitting to kill BF without apple. (why not? yes it's less of an achievement... but why not? nothing to do with cosmetics.)
  • Maroon Mop needs about 1.2 hours with apple

Support this, tho yeah level 36 is a bit too low and will also create a gamebreaking PQ play (and a new muling meta).
Though around level 70 I think this item is more than acceptable and overall a good reward for Beginners who have hit those heights.

It will also make Beginners viable to participate in PQs such as PPQ, Magatia PQ etc...

 

A level adjusted Maroon Mop would be awesome!

Since perma beginners can still use Crimson Arcglaive or Fan+Shield with apples, to match the dps of Maroon Mop with apples.

The Maroon Mop can replace the White Mop in the gachapon, since most people NPC the White Mop right away anyways.

Alright after like 5 years for this thread, let's discuss the topic again since my boy Cortical got teased by Nightz777 with almighty mop.


I appreciate we ginners got plenty amount of PSB and Arcglaives from recent patches, really helpful for late game perma-beginners.
But I still want to know what GM's attitude for adding Maroon Mop now.
For me it's really nostalgic weapon in TMS, it would be awesome to be added in current ML since we already got lots of late-game perma-beginners.
Adjust mop level requirement could be discussed, hoping any staff can revisit and answer us.

 

I'd like Maroon Mop added with a level 100 requirement to make it a true end game weapon for permabeginners.

 

Although it may not be responded by staff, I would like to refer this topic again because I got Abagnale suggestion.

It has been about a year ago I mentioned it from the last post. Still petition for adding Maroon Mop in the game, thank you.

 

Could the Maroon Mop be added into the server as Untradable and Level 30 equipe-able, with the requirement of only being able to get it as a "job advancement" for leveling to 30 in Training Camp?
