Windows 8/8.1/10 Anyone gotten a PS5 controller to work on Win10?

I've done some googling but all the threads are from 2015.

I have a PS5 controller that I'm interested in using so Maplestory doesn't destroy my hands. I've used DS4 successfully enough, to the point that I can type letters from my controller into Notepad, so that's absolute proof that the input is working.

My issue is that after swapping over to MapleLegends, the inputs are not recognized.

I've also tried using Steam Big Picture to launch MapleLegends, and using custom controller binding there, but again the game does not recognize the inputs.

Has anyone gone through this setup more recently than 2015?

Edit: The fix was to open DS4 as admin
