No, you can also have multiple clients running if you have 2 PCs, not only with a third party software.
I'm not for or against it, I have 2 PCs but I have never leeched myself. What would the fun in that be?
I think your wrong, I don't see leech mentality on this server, in my guild of 25+ ppl I have never heard the word leech, not even once.

You don't think Neckson saw this going on back in the day? All they gave a fuck about is if ppl were buying their 2x exp coupons or their gamebreaking gachapon tickets.

From my understanding leeching is frowned upon by most here.

I see your point, with leeching etc. but what is the point of this post? We all know how leeching works, and how it's harder for some people to take use of it. But how are you going to change it? Was your post meant to revolutionise the way we train?

I agree. His post sucked, but I was able to decipher what he meant and what he wanted done about it. I'm sure others were also. However, if your posts are to long winded and sensible than you will also face fierce opposition on this forum.

The simple truth that can be drawn from this is that most of the opposition posts like the way things are. Although I do wish they'd say that rather than baiting the players with insults and than freaking out when they receive insults in return.

The passive aggressiveness and the staff-humping on this forum/server are both INSANE. I live in a place known for its outwardly 'nice' but in reality passive aggressive behavior ('Minnesota Nice'). Even so, I find that maplestory private server players far surpass Minnesotans when it comes to passive aggressive behavior. A lot of you are easily decipherable social terrorists who really need to develop some debate skills to complement your ridiculousness. This shit only flies online, not in the real world.

 

Except in this scenario, it is about working rather than pure luck.

Everyone is free to make a secondary character as a bishop and leech themselves, OR farm to get meso to pay other bishops to do that work for them. (or use gach as an income to pay for it) in reality, the amount of income you can get is limited only by how much work you put in, since everyone has the same opportunity to do anything on this server. The current state is far better than that of old live versions of maplestory simply because there is no pay to win, we all get the same basic incomes in this game and what you do with your time is up to each and every one here.

TL;DR:
This whole idea is a childish cry for equality when in fact, things are already equal. If you think bishops are over-powered, then go make a god dam bishop.

 

I think this post really hits an issue spot on. It seems that simply leeching in general is a balance issue. Frankly, at all level it is potentially, but once 4th jobs get their ultimate abilities, and as mob levels cap out at like 100, 113, it makes leeching extremely efficient. I think by far more than it should be.

Another question which was brought up: if staff went through the trouble to disable multi-clienting, why is it legal?

 

I agree with this.
When I originally joined, I made an assassin, but I quickly realised if i wanted to mob and save up some money I would need to make a cleric, and so I did.
I think we are as equal as we can be while staying true to how GMS was back then.

Probably is one of the reasons you agree with Autoassembles post, as it shows a lack of understanding about WHY these arguments are based in inequality.

I'll put it in a list using very simple english so that your internet melted brain is able to understand

1. not everyone can multi client
2. 7-10%/hr vs 50-60%/hr is to big of a difference, v62 was a broken version
3. most mesos made to afford leech would have to come from vote abusing or abusing a vote abused economy

 

That's exactly the problem. I don't think the entire game should revolve around one class, as right now not making or partying with a bishop keeps you incredibly gimped. There's nothing wrong with that idea, since bishops are as I've said before supporters, but when the boost you get from partying a bishop is so drastic, it presents a serious issue to balance. You can keep saying "just make your own bishop", but in my opinion that just feeds the idea that bishops are an absolute necessity to anyone who wants to level seriously, which I think is a flawed system.

 

The main appeal of this server is that it's one of, if not the closest thing to GMS v62 as possible. Not edited to shit like every other v62 server. This thread is pointless because the majority of the playerbase come to a nostalgic server for just that, the nostalgia.

But please continue shouting on your soapboxes.

 

Probably more of the leeching bit more than anything else. Is there a way to disable exp gain when a player has been idle for x minutes? Or perhaps curve the exp more towards the person who actually kills the mobs, especially if they are higher level?

Personally I come for an old-school maplestory experience, but I hope for and expect a game that is different and better than GMS, and I absolutely detest the idea of doing something if only because that's just the same old broken way it was done years ago by game developers who couldn't balance a wooden cube on a flat surface.

It was, but people got away with it. So was selling NX and people got away with that. Just like what was stated in the chat box earlier gaming the system is also apart of the nostalgic experience lmfao so get over it.

 

First of all, I am not your 'bruh'. You were expressing an opinion that I believe many others hold, and I addressed it using your own words. Nothing about that meant that it was only directed at you. But if you do hold the same belief, then sure you're included too. Secondly, you can quit with the insults because you're showing your age and immaturity if you think asking someone to go back to middle school is a real sign of your class, intellect and 'debate skills'.
