Brand New

Hello Everyone, I'm brand new to MapleLegends and Maple Pservers in general. Last time I played MapleStory OG was like 7+ years ago so with everything being a "new" refresher, a lot of stuff is brand new to me because it's a private server.

I am going Bishop, I'm 25 Mage at the moment. Just would love to hear some tips and have some guidance as a new player (freshly new). I don't have any alts or things like that so I have 0 help. It seems like everyone around my level is just an alt and they have everything figured out, lol. Just get X item, go here, get X this/that, etc etc. Not knowing I'm brand new, I can't just get said items or what not. Keeping up with potions is a struggle in itself just because I'm broke. I'm not asking for hand-me-outs, just would like some guidance on what to do, what to focus on, etc etc.

I am looking at questing guides and Mage guides, I'm following one right now for mage that it says go Lukless, which it's hard cause I can't wear equips but it says it pays off cause it's stronger and you can wear Elemental Wands/Maple. But at the same time, Idk how I can wear those given being brand new.

I'm also seeing the term Washing and I have no clue what that is or what to do with it.

I know I'm asking a lot and I'm trying to look in Forums and stuff to get all the info I can gather but it is still a lot and a lot is still left unsaid or is unclear to me.
