Character Issues: Monster Riding Quest glitch/bug?

    I did the first part of the Monster Riding quest which was protecting the watch hog and collecting the research reports and pheromones. When I went to collect the reward, Kenta said the reward is the Monster Riding skill and the saddle, but I only received the saddle. Anyone know how to fix? Help pls D:

    Kenta is supposed to have another quest for you after the hog protection quest where you need to head over to Leafre to buy a potion from Chief Tatamo for 20,000,000 mesos before the hog capture quest is made available.

    Yep I did that already. My friend did the quest and said they got the skill after the first part, but I didn't.
