Theme: Food is the ingredient that binds us together
Notes: This pandemic has been harsh to everyone lately(especially the food lover), well I was thinking that if we couldn't travel the world for food this year Why Not Do It In Maple But I'm really surprised that how food actually binds people together, whenever we talk about different cuisines from all around the world. OOOOOH MANNN, THE EXCITEMENT anyhow,
thanks for all the hard work from the GMs Y'all the poggerssss! I met so many people on ML and they turned out to be a more genuine friend than people irl I can go on days without my phone, but not a single hour without ML Just love the time, where we just fm-hoeing while talking about food at the same time. mhmm, brb I'm hangry time for some kbbq, ramen, fried chicken, nasi lemak, chili crab, pizzaaaa .........................................................................(on and on)...............................

*btw can we ask for more food etc on ML

Theme: The Legend of Bob
Notes: Bob has been a legend to Maple World for years, spanning back to before the settlement of Victoria Island. Back some 15 years ago Bob was a legend among Maplers, with rumors circulating that if you were to catch Bob, his mythic powers would cause your scrolls to enchant without fail. But, this was just a myth.. right? Jay would have thought so too, but reading through the Maple World history books the name Bob Snale appears many times with no real information or photos provided. Rumor has it that he had gone deep into the dungeons of Sleepywood.

Outside of Drake's Meal Table, we meet Gwin, a hunter who had been injured by an especially aggressive Wild Kargo. Bob, who had been training inside, came to Gwin's aid and dragged him to safety. Gwin recounts the bravery shown by Bob, stating he would do anything for him. When we investigate inside we finally meet Bob for the first time, and find who he really is... a green snail.

Bob sparked an early friendship with Grendel, before he was "The Really Old". He was known for his intellect and his might, and survived many battles (with scars to boot). To the untrained eye, he may look like just a regular snail. But according to Bruce of Henesys: "The growth rings on this shell are very densely constructed making it practically impossible for human eyes to count them." We may never know Bob's true age.

This tree is to celebrate the life and lore of Bob Snale, and hoping for the future where he may return to his home on Maple Island. For now, he will continue to train the young snails deep within the bowels of Sleepywood. Forever a legend; forever a hero.

Notes: COVID-19, while being disruptive to all our lives, has forced us to find new ways to respark our joy. In the case of my teammates, we’ve found joy in 2020 through friendship, and most importantly, through our interests and obsessions with very old and very nostalgic anime (queue the Yu-Gi-Oh! theme song). We couldn’t resist recreating this very old (and cringey) meme. Enjoy! Also, happy (belated) holidays from us to you!

Theme: Covid-19 Awareness

Notes: Covid virus (Poopa eggs) are everywhere!!! While the Covid-19 cases in every country are rising rapidly these days, we would like to raise fellow Maplers' awareness to STAY AT HOME this Christmas and New year, sanitize your hands frequently and mask on whenever you are outside. Medical personnel (doctors and nurses) have been overworked and exhausted due to this pandemic, we have to be thoughtful of them as well. Some countries have locked down and we advise Maplers to store enough food at home be it wraps, dry foods, onigiri, pastries, or fishes

2021 is Cow (Niu牛) year in Chinese calendar so, wishing everyone a Happy Niu Year! We hope Covid-19 end soon! -fighting!- <3

Theme: Lord of The Rings was our theme because we wanted to combine two of our favorite fantasy worlds (maple and LOTR) and represent it the best we could through items around the maple world.

Notes: LOTR is a series our guildies enjoy watching around the holiday season, so we thought it was a good fit to decorate our tree with that world in mind. Representing the magic and wars through maple, making our own story in the form of our tree. Wicked Nazgul, Elven bowman, Dwarven warriors, Mystical wizards, Dragons protecting hidden treasures... all seeking the one ring that rules them all!

Notes: With the coming of a new year and a chance to look back at our journey through Maple Legends, we've shown the progressions that we all have or will be taking through the Maple world. The layers of the tree shows the early game, mid game, and the end game items that represents many of the cities, PQs, and bosses that fill our Maple world.
Thank you very much for organizing this community event! We've all enjoyed planning and getting this tree together, and look forward to a 2021 filled with Maple Legends!

Theme: Journey into 2021

Story: Here's a band of merry friends, celebrating Christmas by the tree decorated in the classic style. To mark the growths from our journey in 2020, we're showcasing mementos from the bosses we beat (and monsters we meet), along with a little festive message. But as with any celebration, there's going to be mischief afoot, thanks to the off-season Tooth Fairy...

We thank Maplelegends for our 3 years of friendship and still counting!

Even though it’s a simple Christmas community event decorating a tree, it actually creates a bonding session for us as a family, friends and guildies. So we decided to take part and we can have another photo saved in our guild album


We have decorated this tree in the Strawhat Snowman room because DevilFruit is a One Piece themed guild!

Honestly, we don’t have any plans when we were decorating the tree. We were all dropping the decorations as and where we like, and it turns out perfectly and we liked it a lot. And it feels like we have a tacit understanding among us. We feel we are strong as a team, a guild, and of course as a family.

MapleLegends Staff

Happy Holidays, MapleLegends!
Another year has gone by, and MapleLegends is just as festive and active as it was when I first joined back in Summer 2017. This year, as we all know, was not how everyone had predicted for it to go. Lockdowns were placed globally, and everyone was stuck at home trying to find ways to connect with their loved ones. But, as the saying goes, wherever there’s bad, there’s always good nearby. Lockdown pushed people to digitally socialize more, and thus MapleLegends was a platform that many people, looking to find a nostalgic game to play with their friends, went on to gather and spend time in with their friends that they couldn’t see due to social distancing.

From hosting a server population of 500 to the sudden uproar of 1,500 and more players, we only have the MapleLegends Staff team to say thank you to. Quite frankly, if it wasn’t for MapleLegends, our 9 months of quarantine (and more) would have felt unbearably long, lonely, and challenging. Despite the circumstances and also having to experience the pandemic themselves, the MapleLegends Staff continued to work around the clock to ensure the game ran as smoothly as possible. Doing this as a side-gig, for free, on top of having to also balance personal lives with the amount of stress this past year has brought is evidently not an easy feat, and it is something we are extremely grateful for. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving everyone a safe place to gather and spend time with their friends while also making new ones during these isolating times.

As a small gesture to show our appreciation, my friends and I decided to dedicate these two trees to the MapleLegends Staff team. Each unique ornament represents someone in Staff. The Staff members included (you can guess which ornament represents who ) are Kimmy, Serin, Hyoon, Nise, Mirror, Ducky, Mott, and Eduardo (because let’s be real, Eduardo has created such a monumental bot aka DRODS that he deserves a place on the tree despite not being a “GM”). We are very thankful for all that Staff team did, does, and continues to do, especially throughout this pandemic. You guys have given all the players, new and old, a place to connect and feel a little less lonely during these extremely trying times. So, thank you, thank you, thank you.

P.S. We tried to fit as many Staff members as possible, so we apologize if some were not included.
We appreciate all of you — be it the Game Assistants, Balance Team, Graphic Designers, Web Developers, etc., for your time and dedication towards this server.

Theme: We combined a childhood show we all watched as kids, "Power puff girls" and wanted to use the slogan from the show itself as the central theme. "Sugar, spice, and everything nice" is a pretty positive vibe message, so we revolved our theme based on it.

Creativity: We decorated the tree in the 3 colors that represent the different characters from the show. Such wonderful, warm, colors of the Christmas season fuel the friendships and amazing times that we can only take away from the game. We used specific ornaments to highlight each word in their own way. It was all about symmetry and trying to make a visually aesthetic complete decoration.

Happy Holidays to MapleLegends

Theme: Under Cupid's Bow Notes: In the spirit of Christmas and love this year, we decided to name our tree "Under Cupid's Bow", a pun after Under the Mistletoe.

Spreading love and joy to those around you and to the people you meet is especially more important during these times. For some of us, this pandemic has led us to appreciate and treasure our loved ones on different levels.

Whether Covid has been difficult or kind, this is our way of showing support to anyone that was tested positive, hoping to remind everyone today that there is always someone that loves us waiting back home. We hope everyone stays safe, and remember that you're never alone.

Remember: Love's always in the air!

Theme: Monochrome

There is a certain subtle elegance in any monochromatic themed tree.

We picked monochrome as our theme because we appreciate its timeless quality, believe in blissful simplicity, and the fact that less is truly more.

Though Red and Green might be the de facto colours of the holiday season which signals a close to a trying 2020 for many of us, a simple black and white, with a minimalist focal piece to top it off, arguably makes a chic statement on this boldly bedecked tree.

Bling once, bling twice, bling three times, its 2021!!

Theme: Hap-Pianus New Year, Legends!

Notes: This shrine is dedicated to the Baddest Fishes around. Santa may only come once a year, but Pianus delivers his presents every 24 (and 36) hours! From helping users with quests to smuggle into a Dragon's cave and combat its devastating seduction magic, to unlocking higher tiers of skills, Pianus and his socially distant co-worker, Pianus, are true role models of MapleLegends.

The shrine is comprised of two trees; the Left tree is for Pianus(L), and the Right tree is for Pianus(R). Each tree is complete with the equipment, books, and scrolls gifted from the fish of the corresponding side. Finally, the floor is littered with a... "Carp" ton of statues as we don our festive attire, complete with mini-Pianus balloons.

Theme: Shiny and Sparkly *o*

Note: Shiny items has always been our all-time-favorite things on Maplestory. So we thought, why not decorate this tree with something we love and share some with the rest of ML! Because Christmas is all about sharing and spreading love (and shiny items). Ever since day 1, our inventories would be filled with all these shiny goodies, since we couldn't get ourselves to either throw them away or sell them. They simply were too valuable. ;A;

We reenacted this scene with Harry in his infamous feather-clad outfit, and Kevin teasing the pair! We laid out a bunch of traps that were referenced in the original Home Alone movie, like the ice covered steps, feather & glue trap, nail in the foot, paint cans (which knocked out Harry's gold tooth), electrocuted doorknob and more!
