    Hi~~~
Thanks for community event again :)

If I submit my current time, and then beat it, am I allowed to update my submission?

Also, my recording of my current PB is accidentally really low quality (like 240p)
    Would it still be accepted?

I do have all of my keyboard inputs and LiveSplit timer recorded too.

I just want to ask for clarification, would pre-dropping mesos in the room of darkness to mark where to jump count as a violation?

Only 1 submission per participant is permitted, so I would recommend recording all of the runs that you do, and then selecting the best one to submit towards the end of the submission window. So no, submission updates are not allowed, but you have up until the day after the event's end to put together a submission video.
Also, as long as the video isn't a blurry batch of pixels, and the start and end times are legible, there should be no issues! 240p should be fine.

It is fine to make markers in the speedrun as long as this action is taking place while you are performing your run. So, you cannot pre-place items in the map prior to recording and starting from the beginning of the challenge.

I just want to update my response to this, after some consultation with other Staff members, it has been decided that the act of pre-dropping mesos or other items as markers is allowed and not in violation of the rules as I previously stated up above.

If items are already present in the map prior to your run, whether dropped by yourself or other players, they will not affect the legitimacy of your speedrun.

The previous decision was a misunderstanding on my own part, so I apologize for the inconsistency!

If you had previously submitted a speedrun to me, you are allowed to resubmit 1 new entry given the updated rule/clarification.

    Happy running! SlimeGrin

If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask here
