Corsair Main Appreciation Thread

• Why did you choose to be a Corsair Main?: One of the things I read most on the forum was spencil2 Journal, I wanted to bring some entertainment to the forum by setting a challenge for myself. I have always intrinsically learned a lot from my brother and best friend Fayden (Karn ), It's very rewarding to play with a class that has optimizations that reward gameplay. I've always liked my godfather's Hampy style too, as a corsair and as a person
• What type of content do you enjoy running with your Corsair: I come from a wash scuffed challenge, so I haven't done much of the "dangerous" content that I would like to do. I also enjoyed hunting cards; it was the fastest T10 I've ever made. In my opinion, Corsair isn't as buffing Reliant as other jobs, I'll redo this part of the thread in the future, commenting on future content.

• Why did you choose to be a Corsair Main?:
  I chose corsair to be my main because of boat being cool and requiring you to not fall asleep during content :^). I also think they are objectively the coolest class. And ofc because NeedyLords have to apple to mimic a fraction of our power without their precious SE buff, and that to me is hilarious during HT if the SE dies or DCs.
• What type of content do you enjoy running with your Corsair?:
  CWK is fun to run just because corsair excels there and are even strong enough to handle killing the mage and pirate if your SE dcs!
  
  But my favorites so far are Horntail, BGA, and for what little of it ive run on sair Auf. All of these require some level of active play! One day I will get to CorsairPB too.

• Why did you choose to be a Corsair Main?: a bunch of reasons really. I made a bucc initially and thought I could share gear with a sair; only played single client, so thought an engaging class would be a good fit; played corsair in GMS during Red update; later sustained my interest in the class by being self sufficient and able to do stupid stuff like farm CWK badges, do 7f, and whi- I mean, ragebait NLs.
• What type of content do you enjoy running with your Corsair?: 30-man pb was prolly the most fun content imo. I'm not very active anymore, but lived in 7F whenever I was on in 2025. Was fun trying to high-score EXP with my bucc, was around 60m sair attacking / 30m bucc leeching.

Why did you choose to become a Corsair main :
Once I hit lvl 200 on my dark knight my interest in the game began to wane. Then I started to build up the funds and planned around the creation, of my corsair :]
Plenty of reasons; I was a corsair main back in old GMS, I love the aesthetics behind the ship, octopi and even the armour. I love the title "Perfect Corsair". I genuinely love not having to buff anybody ever and only bringing DPS. I love the name and I genuinely dislike every other class in the game besides my Dark knight. I like that when buffed SE/SI etc you surpass all ranged damage dealers* (obviously on ship). I love learning more about the class as I can squeeze out more damage and get better at playing my class whether its proper timing of gaviota or the macroing of octopi or ship dismounting to avoid 1/1 damage. I love always being active in my gamestyle or relearning bosses to keep ship as much as I can. (I TALKED SO MUCH SHIT ABOUT WHITING EVERYONE AS WELL DO NOT GET IT TWISTED I WAS HELLA ANNOYING WITH IT TOO :] )
What content do you enjoy running with your corsair :
Everything. I used to hate zakum on my dark knight pre buffs due to always being on the right side or my bishop missing me with hss or healing me out of zerk range. Now, I'm a bishop STAN. I love whiting the arms and bodies and looting the mesos along with always being awake/ active in my gameplay. All the bosses I've had to relearn. Krexel, although still boring I do more damage than my drk with se/si. JC I had to learn how to tank the spears close to it and also once again that sweet white line of exp IS MINE. Cwk is free exp along with how strong corsairs are with octopi and constant dispelling. PAP/Rav are a breeze now that I've washed out my INT along with the other mini bosses eph,chao etc. I havent ran HT but its also one thing I want to conquer and eventually get 10m+ dpm. Lastly I hope to be able to farm badges in my 17x era when I feel.

My sair is 120 as of today, and after doing all the skillbook quests I still don't have Speed Infusion. Is this a bug?

Why did you choose to be a Corsair Main?:
I used to main hero but the gameplay is pretty stale. I decided to finish my corsair washing project when I came back to ML (late 2025s?).
Although corsair has a lot flaws (corsair buffs when?), it is the most fun class I have ever played.
I love the aesthetics of the class and I love how it's the only class to sit on top of Henesys Market's roof! I also love how self reliant corsairs are!

What type of content do you enjoy running with your Corsair?:
I really enjoy NT1 content

Why did you choose to be a Corsair Main?:
I decided on a whim one day to make a pirate so I could run around with a gun and hopefully, someday, have my own boat. I think I learned by like, level 15, that I really enjoyed how double-shot felt, jump-attacking, and the movement wasn't bad either!
Second job further increased this developing love for the class. Recoil+wings, LEGENDARY macro skill that opened by third eye to the possibilities ahead. Grenade?? SO useless, but SO fun! Blank shot shoots out a cute flag with a mushroom? SIGN ME UP.
And then third job hit and I made two new friends: Gaviota and Octopussy. I couldn't get enough of them, they're so cute and fun to use. Wow, is this class the true GOAT of the maple LEGEND?? Guildmates and buddies started asking me, "Are you going to main Corsair?" To which I finally admitted, it is more likely than you think!

Now I have reached 120, earned my boat, cannon, torpedo, and ariel strike, and I can say without a doubt: this is my destiny, MY MapleLegend if you will.

Tldr; I chose to main sair because it's fun, quirky, cute, great for rp-events, and something a bit more complex to learn.

What type of content do you enjoy running with your Corsair?:
As of now, I am still learning what content I enjoy the most, but I would say as of now it is definitely learning how to boss/single-target fun. Roleplaying with friends and riding around on my boat is a huge plus. I believe I will continue to build an enjoyment for bossing as it is exciting and fun trying to learn how to play this class optimally. (That being said, I am rather newbish with half a hand, so I am not entirely sure I will be good at this class...WE'LL SEE!!!)
