i would love to give feedback! thank you as always for these threads. it's also interesting to hear others' perspectives.

    1. How often did you participate in event content?
→ i was really active during the event, mostly because i did feel a sense of pressure to get DKT done on a bunch of my characters, so it was a bit of a time sink. i had to ration a little bit of time throughout the week each day to get it done.

    2. Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?
→ i do think this is very possible, it certainly was for me. because of the above time sink, i pretty much didn't have time or energy to do any of the usual content, which was a little bit of a bummer but i was just so burnt out. (though the balance changes probably had an impact on content running motivation too, so it might not be all on the event? i found the idea of relearning some of my classes daunting and easier to put off in light of the event.)
i don't know how many characters on average people did, but i cleared on 9 out of my 12 characters and only got the pendant on 5, so i was even trying to prioritize the most important ones and still cut it close each week.

(Edit: i do want to also clarify something important: that despite the burnout, i did appreciate that raffles and rewards were capped each week. i know this is not necessarily a popular opinion, but when uncapped, i actually find myself less motivated and daunted at the prospect of no end in sight; a truly endless grind for APRs and raffles ends up paralyzing me to not bother doing it at all, so having that set goal for each character helped center me to really focus and grind it out. the grind was a little much even with the cap this time around, but i appreciated its presence because i think it does force players to leave the event area and do other content at a certain point.)

    3. Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?
→ i think this is a good idea, but not sure how you'd do that with content like Retro Anni - it demands a lot of time to reap the rewards. realistically to do this i imagine the best way would be to lower the clear requirements for the 30 coupons (ex: 1 full clear for 30 on hard, 2 full clears for 30 on easy?) to make it not as mentally exhausting of a grind and give more time for actual content.

    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?
→ i think the level of grindiness for this event was a little too much, personally. i'm all for games that have you motivated to do stuff, but sometimes it does cross a threshold that leaves you ~*~ face down in the dirt ~*~

    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?
→ definitely DKT, mostly because i really wanted APRs for some of my washing characters and i wanted a chance at some good items.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
→ you know, i think this might be a person to person experience that varies on luck because i know that my rewards were fairly satisfactory (no yellow lines at all which seemed crazy after ~1000 turn ins but got a handful of chairs, an okay amount of cakes and coins), but in contrast my partner got absolutely nothing decent. not even a single chair after probably a thousand rolls, largely candies and cookies. and it was unbelievably demotivating for him considering he put in so much effort to get incredibly skilled at DKT hard mode, had to wait for ages for other hard moders just to clear 20F, only to get nothing of note. he didn't even want to log on after week 3 because he felt like the rewards were not proportional to the herculean effort he put into clearing, and i really couldn't blame him.

i know RNG is a thing, but perhaps it would have been nice to have more rewards that weren't completely hinging on sheer luck, or at least had enough of a "hit" ratio for some dopamine to have players feel like the grind was worthwhile? maybe you could consider implementing "hard mode coupons" to reward players who are busting their asses in hard mode with slightly better rates, or allowing coin exchanges for more rewarding potions that provide a few minutes of buffs like hb, hs, or just generally stronger ones (as they're no better than ciders)? just spitballing.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
→ i think increased pouch drops from bosses, or maybe increased nx from enemies, would have been a nice motivator to run some content during the event period! maybe that could have cut through some of the DKT burnout.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
→ it might have actually been a little too long. SlimeSweat2 i know that's probably silly to say and others will disagree because hey, the more weeks we have the more chances at raffles, but i know i was just absolutely dead tired by the end of it and so happy to be done. i know it was also extended because of the balance backlash and subsequent quick fixes, though, so i understand the length went beyond what was originally intended.

    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?
→ i like DKT, but i understand that for some people it felt stale to do the same event yet again. that said, i like that there were some new refreshing changes like the DKT equipment buffs, and i also liked the rework of cake boss to make it a little more engaging. i know staff hadn't intended to recycle retro again this year so i also understand the position they were in. if you're asking about repeat events in general, i would say that it's good to shake things up every now and then, but it doesn't have to be to the detriment of staff's time if they're swamped with other tasks and can't make the time to design new events every year, especially considering how many events you could draw from a ten year backlog. if there are a couple different versions of a seasonal event, maybe switching off between them each year with minor tweaks like you did with DKT would allow things to feel a little more fresh, but still allowing staff to focus on developing other content.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
→ i would give it a... 3.5-4! i think it was a perfectly satisfactory event, a little better than last year's with the various improvements to make the retro stuff more fun. (though i have to admit i did not touch retro reach at all. i wonder how many people did?)

Just answering a select few questions, and then following it up with some thoughts I wanted to share.

    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?
I am all up for grindy event content even if it is back to back. Events are the only time I try to put in as many hours as I can into the game since they are my most preferred method of making $$$. And the duration between events are long enough that when the next one comes around I feel ready to grind again!

    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?
Demon Tower was the only content I took part in. I didn't do any Axe PQ or Cake since, with an abundance of event mules, I felt like it was faster to get raffle tickets from Demon Tower.

    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?
Honestly, I don't hate them. I quite enjoy the ones that have been repeated since I joined the server (Summer JQ, Halloween PQ, Snowman PQ, etc) in fact I look forward to them. That said, there does come a point where enough reruns change them from being "events" to just "scheduled content," so new content is always appreciated.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    :star::star::star::star::star: :pinkbean:

    Now for some suggestions:

Clearing DKT Hard mode should unlock Journey progress.
With Demon Tower having two separate difficulties, I think players who have unlocked a specific floor on Hard should also have their progress unlocked up to that floor on Journey.

Sometimes it really takes forever to find a Hard party and I wished I could hop into a Journey party while waiting. Even if next year's anniversary brings something new, I think this suggestion can be applied to any future content with more than one difficulty mode.

    1. No extra raffle tickets would be awarded for the auto-unlocked Journey floors. But if they choose to manually redo one of these floors, they should receive the rewards once per run of 1-20f, just like any regular run.

    2. If a player clears early floors on Hard and finishes up on Journey, then their Journey progress should pause from auto-unlocking until the next time they full clear Hard mode. For example, I do 1-10H, which would unlock 10E for me. Then I continue 10-20E. My progress on Journey should stay at 1E until the next time I clear 20H.

    Female hairstyles
I mentioned this in the anniversary post, but I think we'd all like to see more variety in the female hairstyle options. Previous events didn't have this issue so I was wondering why exactly they all looked the same this time, and I've come to the conclusion that it's how they all had the same "cone shape".

    upload_2025-7-11_14-32-38.png

Additionally, they're all similar in length and have nearly identical bangs, on top of being long and untied. To clarify, the issue isn't just that they’re “long and untied,” but that the similarities overlap in more areas than one.

In short, don’t completely rule out long / untied hairstyles from future events. We do still love those! But we definitely need more variety in the choices.

Additions from DKT year 2 to 3, the newly added Pixel Gear barely made a difference to the gameplay of the Tower. The layout was the same as last year.

I'm not a fan of seeing rehashed events, and personally am disappointed that it's happened for multiple events in a row this/last year - especially for the rather symbolic 10th Anniversary.
If events must be rehashed, there should be new content differing from previous years' that is significant enough for veterans of previous years to enjoy without it feeling repetitive.

I wanna start out by giving my biggest praise: this year's version of Puff Daddy aka cake boss is great. While maybe not exactly perfect, it is LEAGUES better than the previous two iterations.

I love the inclusion of the statues and boxes containing mobs that drop etcs. It makes for more interesting gameplay, involves teamwork in multiple ways, and tests skills not usually tested by most bosses in ML (mouse movement in particular lul). What I also like about the boss though is the fact that suboptimal or even straight up bad teamwork will still result in decent clear times, but there's still drive to work together to clear much faster. This creates a dynamic where there's reason to play well, but it's also not extremely frustrating if you're paired with teammates that aren't as willing to meaningfully contribute.

Again, I wouldn't say it's the best boss ever introduced on the server or anything, but I think it's legitimately better than some of the regular bosses in the game, and is likely my favorite event boss currently.

As for the event as a whole, it's DKT for a third time. The foundation has always been great (even if the level design can be questionable or outright frustrating at times) and the rewards feel very satisfactory. I appreciate the boost from 5 to 10 coupons from Puff Daddy clears, and the removal of the need to do axe pq was definitely for the best. However, playing this event for the third time in a row certainly left me very fatigued, and I may join Ainz in his crashout if it appears for a fourth time next year. Still, I think the event was decent overall.
I also think the addition of the pixel equipments in the tower are a mixed bag. On one hand, I think the extra cushion for mistakes made the tower a lot more chill to do repeatedly. But on the other hand, I don't think they really added much excitement or difference to the tower (aside from once again making it more chill to go through). They add incentive to chests, sure, but you picked them all up on a character, there was no reason to pursue chests once again as the equips stay permanently in your inventory. To give credit, though, I think taking them away from the player every week or even after every boss clear would've been worse lmao.

Lastly, I also want to point out the lack of variety in the female hairs this event.
I like long hair a lot, don't get me wrong. In fact, Wavy Wavelengths in particular is such an amazing hair, and I'm glad it secured its place in the lineup from the poll. I also understand it was probably awkward coincidence for Ella Hair to win the poll but also have the Magic Ella Hair variant be likely pre-planned as one of the Anniversary hairs. But I looove shorter styles, particularly bobs, and it's such a shame they are rarely if ever chosen as event hairs. I also like tied-up styles a lot (ponytails, twintails), though they are generally a little better represented. There's quite a few shorter styles to choose from in MapleStory's gigantic catalogue of hairs, too. The few polls done each year to vote in hairs also don't really help with this struggle, as more often than not long hairs utterly dominate the polls, leaving very little hope in that avenue.

I didn't want to respond because it seemed like too much effort but I do think that feedback is an important part of the iterative process and necessary for maintaining high quality events.

    3 quick points:
    1. The gear was good for consistency. Once you have a full set it's almost impossible to fail and gives players a crutch to help them out as they learn. For veteran players it likely didn't make a difference but I think this was a good addition. It also led to a sense of community with everyone rocking the same fit. I hope to see more of this mechanic in the future.
    2. Boxes for Puff Daddy were a cool addition. While the fight itself is still not super interesting, I like that staff is experimenting with new tech. Hopefully they can incorporate these mechanics into a fight in a fun way in the future.
    3. I would rather see a repeat event than no event. While its disappointing that a big milestone like 10 years is a repeat event with nothing special, I know devtime is mostly being consumed with balance/content patches atm and there wasn't time to prep a new major event.
It would also be nice to get an entry into the event map in Temple of Time - Three Doors, since almost every other event map can be accessed from there (through Cassandra). I ended up never cashing in my points at the end of the event out of sheer laziness.

    What was good -
    1. It was nice to be able to exchange the remaining points for potions.
I always had leftover points during events, so I think it would be great if other events also allowed us to use leftover points like in the anniversary event.
    What was bad -
    1. It was inconvenient that the event equipment had to be worn for the effects to apply.
Couldn't it have been implemented so that the effects apply just by having the items in the inventory?
Also, why does the Pixel Sword effect from Puff Daddy apply, but the cape effect doesn’t?
For the sake of consistency, it would have made more sense for both items to apply their effects.
    2. Why is there a difference in the expiration period between the pendant obtained in the first week of the event and the one obtained after the second week?
Previous events had the same issue, and I still don’t understand why someone who actively participated in the first week and earned the reward early should be at a disadvantage.

    1. How often did you participate in event content?

I participated nearly daily until I had finished up all the characters that I had wanted to do. I'd say game play wise it took around 7-8 hours a week for me to complete all the event had to offer reward wise for 6 characters. This includes Demon King Tower and Puff Daddy (retro reach ignored).

    2. Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?

100% so. While the time spent wasn't a large amount if it was spread out over the week, I found that it was actually very much in my best interest for demon king tower to get it knocked out within the first couple days of the weekly reset since finding others for the boss stage (floor 20) became increasingly more frustrating due to the lack of people. From talking with PQers, I actually saw a healthy amount of people outside the event still PQing due to the event boxes being added as a reward on PQ finish which I think is definitely a good way to make sure everyone can participate.

    3. Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?

I think integration of the event into things maplers are already doing is the best way to go. Examples of this would be the Lunar event where there were tasks to do for non jumpers so it could feel like they were in the event festivities. Retro world kinda lacks that aspect where you're literally whisked into another world and have to partake in an enclosed event not seeing much of the event outside of the event area.

    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?

I think time spent for grindy capped events should seriously be reevaluated. There's no reason for things to require such a grind unless it's uncapped. I don't understand things like SPQ APRs being RNG and many other time padding aspects to events like DKT needing either 2/3 clears a week per character. You can argue that it's not that much per character and that's definitely the case but it can feel very stale doing the same event content for that long. I think in the case of this event, I'd be open to the idea of hard mode DKT giving you your weekly rewards after 1 hard clear or 2 easy clears if and only the distinction between easy and hard floor 20 is removed since the boss fight is basically the same sans flash jump. Perhaps a damage buff could be given to parties smaller than 4 to allow more quiet times at the event area to still let people run the boss.

    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?

Demon King tower and Puff Daddy were what I participated in due to it simply being either the only options for rewards or the most efficient way to get premium event currency. Retro reach was completely shafted as it's both such a poor way to get event currency and in terms of enjoyability. Puff daddy was definitely the highlight of this event and the new changes with the mob boxes/drops added a fun nice layer to the boss. It got me kicked into overdrive once I got into lower man attempts and even my solo attempts at the boss. I think the team definitely has a great knack for creative event boss fights and I'm super excited for their take on von leon because of this.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?

The APR rewards were really good, the raffles themselves were not good however. I found them overall underwhelming with a lot of dud items in the pool (maple hats, high leveled maple cape, high leveled maple earrings). I think lunar's raffle pool had a decent bit more satisfaction even if it was uncapped for jumpers. This may be unpopular but maybe removing some of the dud items and removing white scroll/chaos scroll from the pool can allow a more even dividing of rewards for the raffle with maybe mysterious pouch 1and additional maple boxes be added.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?

Things to do outside the event area. Stuff like the christmas riddles, lunar tasks, valentines chocolate gathering, I feel like there just needs to be a bit more variety but perhaps this was due to the repeated nature of the event.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?

A little too long quite honestly, but I understand this was due to compensation via the multiple patches happening close together so I won't hold it against this event. If it was the original amount of time, I'd say it was definitely fine (maybe 1 week less but not that much more stale)

    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?

As my introduction to retro world was last year, I was already feeling a bit of staleness from the repeated nature of the event but I'd say the new additions/changes definitely helped keep things a bit more fresh but it still wasnt quite enough. I feel the difficulty decrease with the new items definitely helped with accessibility but very little else was done to the tower.

I'm of the opinion that repeated events are better than none, but there should definitely be improvements made in areas where the experience is lacking.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?

    3/5 Stars.

I was going between 3/4 stars and I still think it's still a good score for an event that was recycled. The content here is definitely fun and engaging but it's still way too long for a capped rewards event. As much as events are good and the rewards were nice, I think I much prefer the actual maple grinding/bossing experience and don't want my week to be overtaken by doing the event. You can argue that I don't have to but I don't really think I should be having that kind of impasse at an event that's meant to be fun/enjoyable.

Thanks for the feedback thread! It seems the staff team has been opening up communication a lot more and I'm looking forward to see what else you guys have cooking.

    1. How often did you participate in event content?
I did in like first week of it, got into the all 3 minigames, malded at the jump quests a bit, but then went back to grinding monsters, enjoying the global experience boost

    2. Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?
Not that i could tell honestly, considering majority of my time in maple is solo grinding
    3. Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?
I think the event activities didnt feel too overpowered in rewards, and a lot of players still enjoyed the regular content, so i guess this was properly balanced.
    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?
I personally prefer if i can get SOME participation in event just by killing monsters and grinding. Or at least get something from the event that helps me grind said monsters. I felt this was kind of missing in this event. The potions that were available were pretty underwhelming, despite being untradeable
    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?
I did some of the tower but found it too frustrating later for me, and i felt like i was missing out on XP gains which i desperately needed to get my character stronger in normal game.
I do enjoy the +500hp medal for doing the cake boss, and i did like the fact that you get granted entries weekly.
    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
not really no, i hardly felt they were worth participating compared to what i get from grinding normal content.
    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
Global drop raffles from monsters that you kill normally., or an xp Boost potion thats untradeable.
    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
I think it was exactly right.
    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?
    n/a
    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
3/5 stars, but it was really well made in my opinion and a good break of pace from normal mapling im sure, so it gets a bonus 4th star.

    1. How often did you participate in event content?
Far too often, definitely got burnt out around the penultimate week and then just did apr chars for the last week.

    2. Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?
Depends on the event rewards, largely I think it's psychological unless it's APRs in spades (which normal gameplay can speed up marginally) or a strong EV but limited pull raffle (a la Summer, which is to say do not nerf, the limited pulls are the balancing factor).

    3. Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?
I guess(?), depends on what you're proposing.

    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?
Just stop recycling content even if it means we get some delays in events.

    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?
Tower because APRs, would have just chosen to fuck off otherwise.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
Hindsight sure? It was a miserable time throughout the event.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
Something, something never lucky on raffles.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
If it were any other event, yeah probably. Tower sucks.

    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?
I would kill for a not tower event.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
1 star, especially coupled with the balance changes.

Unpopular opinion probably, but I would prefer as little events as possible if having them means taking staff time away from other things like content release.

    1. How often did you participate in event content?

I'm running 6 characters. Two of them I don't really care about reaching the cap that just using them to help friends clear DKT when they need

    2. Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?

For sure, because most people are focused on grinding the event, leaving fewer players available for regular content.

    3. Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?

Yeah, if anything, it feels like the event is dragging things out, especially with DKT having both Journey and Hard modes. It spreads the player base even thinner, and as a result, I can be J> 20H for hours and still not getting in to a party.

    4. Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?

I’d prefer a new event over a repeated one. That said, having a grind-heavy event followed by a more casual one is always a nice balance for my mental.

    5. Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?

I'm only doing DKT and Cake Boss just to reach the coupon cap.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?

Personally, yes. I did get lucky with WS/CS. But on the other hand, I know plenty of people who've done way more raffles than I have and still haven’t gotten any better rewards.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?

It just feels kind of empty to realize there's nothing particularly special for the 10th anniversary. I was expecting a more grand celebration, not just a slightly modified Cake Boss and a slightly upgraded DKT with pixel equipment (which honestly feels a bit extra considering we already have Journey mode).

As for the rewards, I always expect better especially when it comes to APR. It would’ve been nice to see more APR and perhaps NX rewards included as well.

Because if the event is going to be limit on APR, it doesn’t really make sense to extend it by two more weeks and hand out an extra 60 APRs.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?

I’d say yes, but it runs into the same issue I mentioned earlier, with DKT being split into two separate modes, the player base gets thinned out. It becomes really hard to find a party unless you get lucky and run into someone doing 1–20 in one go, or you end up dragging friends who’ve already cleared it to run it again with you.

That’s exactly what happened to me, I got busy during the weekdays and could only play on the weekend. But as anyone participating in the event knows, the weekends are super quiet because most people already finish their clears by Monday or Tuesday, Thursday at worst.

Would it be better if the weekly reset were moved to Wednesday instead? In that way, the mid-point of the cycle would fall on the weekend, which could help keep activity levels more balanced and give players a better chance of finding parties.

    9. For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?

The downside is that I’m honestly feeling pretty bored with all the repeated events. I was hoping for an expanded storyline involving the Demon King and the Goddess.

On the bright side, at least I don’t have to relearn all the jump mechanics in DKT!

    1) I particularly liked the tower with the teams, it gave me a very Castlevania vibe, and I found this mechanic completely different from the other tower events.

    2) a little, and in a way it must be like this.

    3) The events last on average 20 days, that's 20 days to do a different farm in the year, so in a way they have to be at least a little better than the rest of the content.

    4) I like the tower, the fishing, the snowman, but if it's something like the old ones where you collect points too.

    5) tower in 7 char, cake in 1.

    6) Yes

    7) I'm biased because I like the event this way, so nothing was missing.

    8) I believe that part of the exclusivity of the events here are their unique mechanics, untradeable items and duration

    9)
I thought the clothing part gave it a new feel, like Castlevania on GBA. There probably won't be another event like that any time soon, but I would like more equipment options, for example: you can choose an outfit that gives attack or life

    10) 5/5 thanks staff for great work

I am very grateful for the work staff does for these events. I can't even imagine the amount of time and dedication that ya'll put in to making this server go for 10 years. Thank you!! [IMG]

Many of us were looking forward to this 10-year celebration, and I want to be honest in my feedback. The things I personally look forward to for events are
    • Special content - I love being able to do event stuff. I feel it's a breath of fresh air to step outside the usual bossing and dailies. As a player that started in 2023, I was sad to see a 3rd year of DKT and to have only experienced a DKT anniversary. It would have been nice to have more different things for the 10-year celebration, even something whimsical like mobs in the wrong map or a special new map to afk with people. It was fun to see the old school pixel equips =D
    • Cosmetics - Discovering what new cosmetics we have to mix and match * - * I went straight to the shop the first day, but thought it was unfortunate there were so many repeats from the year before. More than half the individual hats and individual outfits were 2024 anniversary. Would love to see more eye, face, cape accessories too.
    • Community- Some of my friends only play during events, and for this 10 year anniversary, I saw some friends I haven't seen for a long time come back too. I like how we can see old friends or meet new friends during these events where the content disregards level and dps.

How often did you participate in event content?
Not very often. I’m not a big fan of the Tower. I participated just enough to collect raffles and then stopped.

Did you feel that regular game content suffered a lack of participation due to the event?
Not really. I noticed that a lot of players seemed to lose interest in the event fairly quickly since it's a concept we've seen repeated over the last few years. Most people I saw were just doing the basics, like raffles and pendant runs.

Would you prefer more balance between event content and regular game content in the future?
Points are a good way to bridge both sides, event and non-event content, through PQs, bosses, and mob kills. That said, I think the event season could be a great opportunity to bring some creative world-building into the game to help lift community morale. Right now, only the Free Market gets a makeover. With support from the design/art team, we could bring that festive energy into towns all around Maple. Imagine NPCs wearing themed outfits, little event flags in popular areas, or fun easter eggs hidden across the world for players to discover. Why not have the Cake Boss spawn randomly in towns like Henesys, Ellinia, or Kerning, not to cause damage, but just as a fun moment for players to gather and enjoy together? If that did happen, it didn’t seem to happen often enough for me to notice.

Quests also have a potential for point grinding. Give us 10 points per quest completed? I hate grinding mobs, and sometimes I got bored doing the jump quest to get points.

Alternatively, are you open to grindy event content if it is followed up by a more relaxed/casual event?
Yes, having the option to play casually with the choice to grind more if you want to is the ideal balance. POINTS SHOULD NOT BE CAPPED. I understand why they are, so you can't spam get the atk potions I think? We can cap the potions themselves but not the points. We should be able to grind 1000000000 points if we want to in one day to get all the cosmetics we want.

Out of all the available content for this event, which did you participate in the most and why?
The jumping quest for points. I play mostly for cosmetics and enjoy collecting hair, faces, pets, and outfits. The jumping quest was a quick and enjoyable way for me to earn the points I needed to get the items I wanted.

Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
This time, they felt a little underwhelming. The outfits didn’t stand out to me and didn’t feel particularly unique or exciting.

Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
The event didn’t feel fresh. It’s been repeated too many times. I really miss some of the older maps like the Cake Boss or DJ map from past years, like Summer 2020. After waiting months for a new event, getting the same format again was disappointing.

    Was the event's duration satisfactory?
    Yes, the length was fine.

For our players that have experienced the Demon King's Tower event prior to this year, how do you feel about repeat events?
If the Demon Tower returns again, I honestly don’t think I’ll participate. I’m really hoping for something new.

Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars ⭐)?
2★ – It just didn’t do much for me this time.

I really love MapleLegends and Event season is the times of year that I come back to participate in the game. I will be honest I don't play that much in off-season. I hope that my feedback isn't seen as harsh or negative. It's just my honest thoughts!

give back the old cake boss, having it randomly charge was actually fun. the past iterations turn it into a massive chore that I didn't even continue doing after week 2.

    everything else was okay-good

I felt that this event had way too many PQs. Axe, Cake, DKT Easy, DKT Hard, and in practice people would be recruiting/joining different stages of DKT. At peak hours (Friday night around 8 PM PST) I found that I was spending more time looking for a party than I was actually doing the content. I never even got the opportunity to do Axe PQ. This is way too much. I don't want to see more than 2 PQs (e.g. DKT easy and DKT hard or DKT and axe) in a single event.
