    Summer Event 2025

Happy autumn equinox, everyone! With the summer officially over, we would like to look back on our summer event, and gather feedback from you, the players!

In the replies below, feel free to discuss what you liked and/or disliked about our latest event!

If you're not sure where to start, here are some talking points to help guide you and your responses:
    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (e.g. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (e.g. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
For those of you who like to answer questions directly!

informal feedback, I think these events are great because you can get everything done in one or two days (without a daily cap) so I can divide my time better.

I liked the new mechanics of increasing ap/hp, and especially being able to exchange event points for exp

I already gave Chu my data but yea the scroll raffle was awful. It's ok to have ws/cs in them but I don't think that should mean the raffle is actual feast or famine. I'd rather just have a consistent raffle whose entire EV isn't dependent on a rare drop. The best ways to use points this event were
    1. flags and strawberry pops (8m ea)
    2. Chairs (3-10m depending on time of event)
    3. Scroll raffle (<2m)

The tempo untradeable equip chaosing is pretty cool. I'd still like to see strawberries removed from the game or heavily nerfed. You could make them 1. rarer out of a raffle or 2. make it for example a 1 att 1 slot face that you chaos in the same way the other items were chaosable for stats.

    The event buffs are cool.

    1. I actually found this event kind of lacking for an event, probably specifically because it just rewarded doing the stuff we were already doing, as opposed to anything fresh. Which is perfect for players who see event stuff as a distraction from their farming, but then there's little flavor for the rest of us. It doesnt have to be some grandiose thing like demon tower or snowman, but Hinamatsuri was the highlight of the event for me and even that's seen better days. BPQ could really use a touch-up as well, considering its now pump all your chars together through Levi material. But otherwise, it kinda felt like chill fishing event without the fishing.

    2. I always have a spare character on an account to purchase cosmetics/pets and transfer what I want through cs, so cosmetic point limits have never really been a hindrance. But if not, Id have been a bit upset to feel like im losing an exp roll because I wanted a pet, or didnt have a 2nd account to buy OP strawberry pop/flag on. I will say I dislike the streamlining of currencies because while it sounds like you get more choices, you are actually more restricted in how you can spend them. Ive never agreed with the opinions that more types of event currency are too complex; fewer currencies are too simple (and where are my inventory filling goodies? Even the virtual currencies have gone further virtual with !points). It's samey.

    3. Only raffle pouch complaint was the amount of absolute garbage in it. Though Im also vocal about ws/cs comprising most of the value of a gach being the problem with gach so Im not surprised. Tried it a bit, tossed out all the items, wished I got more exp instead (a recurring theme).

    4. Exp, no question.

    5. Exp gamble is fine, I actually enjoyed it. Even the low rolls give some tangible value without literally scamming you. Equip chaos I can see why some like that, but I think it would have been better with fewer slots, especially when this event is opportunity cost incarnate. The coin slot machine on the other hand simply cant be rationalized. Either it has a positive value and everybody should be spamming it all day everyday to infinity, or it has a 0 or negative value and even for a slow burn adrenaline of throwing away excess points, its over too quickly to play many spins. Game's already gamba enough, if its gonna add more it needs spectacle.

    6. Exp was good. Buffs are nice. But I find myself wanting a bit more than a quicker release from a slightly higher value krex.

    7. No offense but, the event. The new experiences are hinamatsuri jq and bpq, and neither have seen any changes in years. Its become more of a pain every year gathering people to bpq that arent "you on a 2nd+ window". Sure we can enter solo, but then remove PQ from the name.

    8. Pass.

    9. One less wep. att on strawberry bar is good change.

    10. Given summer has traditionally been a chill event and lots of work has been done under the hood to make things like the buffs work, its not the worst event. But 2/5 felt like fishing event without the fishing.

Please do not have cosmetics (nx equips, hair and face coupons, pets, label rings) and non-cosmetics (APR, raffle, equips, chairs, etc) share a currency.

People hated this 3 years ago and they still hate it now. Let the people play dress up without giving up actually useful things.

I can get down with removal (especially since it feels so bad once they finally expire), but I feel the options in nerfing you mention only really serve to lock it behind a "luck gate" and make it the worst of both worlds (stays really strong of an item + a lot more frustrating or pricey to obtain unless lucky). Moreso against the chaos option, though.

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
    > I'll always like being rewarded for things I'm doing anyway, so this worked out great for me. I did my daily bosses + BPQ + Jumping and almost capped every week.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
    > There were a lot of options for the currency, which I didn't particularly mind. For me personally it wasn't a hard decision to go full EXP after I'd bought the cosmetics/hair&face coupons/pets I wanted. I've definitely been left with thousands of basically useless event points before when the event finished, so even having the option to turn the excess into EXP was a great addition I think.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
    > I liked the change in the format. I know that for some people, events are a big income boost for them, but I think they disproportionately reward people who have the time to farm 10+ characters and cap currency on each of them while only providing a small bump for people with less time. I don't want my words twisted here, I think that if you have the time to spare you should be rewarded for your efforts, but when there's no limitations on the player to make insane money (upwards of billions) from events, it feels like the rest of the year is just waiting for the money events and watching the economy explode.
Edit: To expand on this, the chaos-able equip rewards, though not super relevant to me, were also cool and I think a nice way to temporarily boost stats for characters that may need them, and I think that allowing for players to make their own equips is better than just flooding the market with coins. As far as the scroll pouch, maybe they could've been a tighter range of scrolls. Maybe remove the cs/ws and def scrolls so there's some value to be gotten but less "feast or famine" like others have said.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
    > I bought the face&hair coupons, pets, and a cosmetic set, and then dumped the rest of my points into EXP

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
    > I spent 600-700 coins on the coin raffle and lost almost every time, or got back my 50 coins occasionally, so it just ripped me off. Spending 100 coins on guaranteed exp, was very much worth it. I liked the concept of the Scroll of Secrets type mystery bag, but for me it was hard to justify spending coins on it or the coin raffle and getting no value out of it compared to the EXP.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
    > I had no strong opinions on them one way or another

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
    > I think the BPQ coin values could have been improved slightly. The time invested in higher tiers was not that much faster than just running the first couple zones over and over again, but I did it anyway because it was less brain-melting to go deep.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
    > It genuinely flew by so quick I thought there was supposed to be one week more than when it stopped, but I don't think it overstayed its welcome nor was too short.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
    > EXP machine was cool

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    > Out of 5 stars, I would rate it 4/5 with a bit of rounding

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
I overall enjoyed this approach, mainly due to the good timing of it (coming right after anni, which was heavily centered around event activities (DKT, Puff Daddy)). My only critique towards this system is the various arbitrary caps on specific activities, as I feel you should be able to rely on your favorite methods to farm points. Of course, without caps, I do think BPQ and Florina Beach's JQ would dominate as the best options to reach the weekly cap, but perhaps that could be a way to look into buffing the currency output of more traditional methods (bossing, killing mobs).

Also wanna give a shout-out to the One-Eye and Two-Eye Goblin buffs. While it did make certain content like HT a bit more of a hassle to optimize exp (since you have to spend another dragon elixir to go back to event map, grab exp buff, go back into cave), I think it was a great way to encourage grinding of content and farming.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
Not a huge fan, but I also don't actually hate it. To me, it moreso just made points spending feel a tad more stressful, trying to think of what's best to spend it on. I do appreciate that staff made some of the cosmetics a lot cheaper to compensate, though. Especially the hair and face coupons only costing 50.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
Admittedly, I don't have much of an opinion on the scroll pouch itself, as I think I purchased it exactly once in the entire event period. Perhaps that in itself can suggest something, though.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
It depended on the character, but for ones that weren't too high level (essentially ones below 160+), I opted to mostly spend on the exp gamble, and save some for cosmetics. For the few characters I have that didn't really benefit from the exp gamble, though, I instead decided to engage with the chaosable equips, and save some for cosmetics.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
Loved the exp gamble. It was a nice balance of rewarding but not too overpowered. On the other hand, wasn't really huge on the coin gamble machine. It felt way too risky considering the currency being a bit more precious of a resource this time around, so I didn't opt for it much at all.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
Compared to the fishing event, I think it had more satisfying of an APR reward, but the scroll pouch and the non-APR rewards from jellies left a bit to be desired.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
Mostly just lacked any actually new activities. BPQ and Florina Beach JQ we're all too familiar with. It also was quite rough if you couldn't run BPQ effectively (ex. low lv characters), but the few changes mid-event did help remedy it a little bit. I feel that farming mobs in general should really yield a slightly higher rate of currency, as it's a pretty slow method, especially if you do not have a party to farm with.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
No complaints here. Duration was good.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
EXP gamble and the two goblin buffs I would love to see more of in the future, especially the latter.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
3.5 stars. I like the new aesthetics, buffs, and focus on grinding/bossing, but it did still feel like a semi-repeat of the fishing event with things like BPQ and Florina Beach JQ being same-y.

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?

Feel like we swing way too hard the other way compared to last anniversary event where it felt like you had to get locked away in event world and do everything there. BPQ I don't actually enjoy too much especially with how many coins you need to grind if you wanted to cap out your coin count on characters. It got extremely repetitive even though you could knock it out fairly quickly. It didn't really have any event content beyond just do your normal gameplay which I guess is non intrusive but it didn't feel like you did much in the event area besides just turn in currency for rewards.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?

Absolutely do not merge cosmetic and valuables currency. Why is there even a limit for cosmetics during an event? They're cosmetics and having to pick between just looking snazzier and actual game progress is so strange to me.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?

I'm indifferent to the concept and actually think it's a good thing to not continually pump coins into the economy with the smaller coin rewards (single coin and pouches) but we really have to curb how poor quality some of the scrolls are. It's ok to have some duds but there were such an insane amount of terrible scrolls that anyone that even has a pulse on Maplestory knows is just meant for gacha rate padding. If the value of the raffle has to come at the cost of removing WS/CS, then I'm for it if it means we don't get actual trash.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?

In terms of my splits, 30% of it was on XP to top up my levels on my characters since the value was insane for sub level 135 characters. The remaining amount was mainly on scroll pouches since I feel kinda grimy with how strong the XP raffle was and some light chaosing on the event gear/static event gear like strawberry icecream/flags. I allocated a small amount to getting every event pet and just ignored the hairstyles since there were too many kpop hairstyles again.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?

Goblin Coin Machine is hilarious and fine but that amount of XP for just 100 coins? Absolutely not, I actually felt kinda ill with how much it sped up my leveling progress on my non main characters. This is already a 2x server with a good amount of HS muling going on and disgusting options for XP like 6/7f, a very streamlined leech market, and event XP that comes in effect. Leveling is already very easy and at this point we might as well start handing out those EXP growth potions.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?

A mixed bag for me since valuable goodies were always what I found amazing for events. I felt like the rewards were definitely toned back and weren't in what I thought was valuable. Sure you just kinda got them from just playing but I guess this event kinda missed a big "draw" that past events had for me in terms of rewards/a small questline to really get us into it all (stuff like halloween and christmas where we had questline(s) to do event wise). Rewards for those felt thematic and still very useful (halloween masks and christmas snowflake letter questlines).

It really felt like if you didn't wanna deal with gambling on scroll pouches you just took a static gain for stuff like chairs/static event stat gear like strawberry pops/flags to sell for mesos. Otherwise you just pumped as much XP into yourself as possible (if you had lower level characters).

The event buffs were also very annoying despite how good they were on paper. While yes they did stack on top of HS, them only lasting 30 minutes means you had to waddle back to refresh it which is just effectively making it less potent since you're spending time to get the buff in the first place. I'm personally not a fan of it enhancing HS muling's XP when we already have the event XP buff, seems too much for my liking. The HP buff was neat though, I saw a lot of new players utilizing it to buy regular zak service instead of AFK, which is a nice bone to throw to them. Otherwise, I didn't use any of them after 2-3 uses of them.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?

Some kind of weird funky questline for the goblins would had been nice. Not sure what rewards would be since I wasn't a super big fan of the rewards in this event in general but something consistent with past event questlines like halloween masks and christmas pendants.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?

Was fine. Didn't overstay its welcome and you got progress for just playing regularly so there wasn't really any event fatigue.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?

Chaosing event equipment at this scale is definitely interesting but needs to be toned back with how insanely strong some of the gear got. Attackers were getting like 20+ stat shoes and these event earrings are gonna make the traditional 0-2 all stat untradable earrings unusable. You can make the argument that this helps less progressed players out more but I think gear progression should overall be still important. It just feels kinda weird to rock so much event gear that replaces my normal gear. Same effect can be achieved by toning back the stats and making them cash shop covers that are chaosable. This could be a balancing concern since those high rolled chaos event gear don't benefit progressed players as much (ie high value pierces/stomper-tier players) but I think that's fine if it's reined in enough. Otherwise just don't make them chaosable and make them fine time limited alternative gear. It doesn't help that some people got stacked on their gear and I watched someone blow like 2 weeks worth of currency to not even make a shoe better than their 12 stat red pirate shoe, why do we want more variance in a game already riddled with it?

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    2.5/5

I think there was a lot of effort made to try new things but I did not find myself enjoying the event particularly much. The rewards felt both overly good and underwhelming depending on what kind of player you were whereas stuff like halloween, christmas, and lunar all had things for anyone to enjoy even if you didn't wanna be an event degenerate. Also that's another thing, there wasn't any way to degenerate the event which I found a bit disappointing but if we wanna move away from uncapped rewards I can respect that stance. I found those previously mentioned events much more enjoyable.

The pets are all adorable though.

    1. Event format: Copy-paste garbage. Boss PQ is deadge, rewards are weak/low, and there’s no reason to actually participate. Coupons and the goblin market had potential, but overall it felt lazy.
    2. Currency usage: Mostly spent on bossing coupons.
    3. Gambling: Not worth it; returns are too low.
    4. Overall rating: ⭐ 1/5

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
I was not a big fan of this year's event format. Last year, we had freedom to choose one (BPQ or Jump Quest) to max out the weekly cap of event coins. But this year, we were forced to do everything -- BPQ, Jump Quest, and grind/boss -- to max out the weekly cap. To make things worse, these precious coins were used to purchase both cosmetics and scroll pouches/event-only cs, forcing the player to choose one over the other.

Too much walking back and forth to do anything for this event.
    - Needed to visit event map unnecessarily to turn in quest for jelly *and* start new quest during BPQ/JQ spam.
    - Buffs were only 30min long - you had to go to event map every 30 minutes to claim these buffs if you were using them to run boss or grind.

It would be nice if these buffs are stackable or claimable via !points command/dialog, without having to return to event map. Or allow players to turn in quest in bulk to meet the weekly cap.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (e.g. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (e.g. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
Absolutely hated this merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies. People love doing the event for the sake of collecting all the pretty-looking cosmetics. They lose out on the opportunity to purchase raffles and other valuables.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
Why did scroll pouch contain 100% scrolls? For what it was worth, scroll pouch was plain garbage.

Plus, there were no visible yellow lines whenever someone got cs/ws from scroll pouches. I would like to see some transparency in future events - comprehensive list of scrolls you could obtain from the pouch as well as their probability. Overall, they were very disappointing.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
Mainly spent on event-only items and cs.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
Using coins to pay for EXP was brilliant. Would like to see this again in future events.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
One of the driest events I have seen on this server.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
BPQ definitely needs some improvement, especially for lower levels (25-60). Looking at 3-4hr+ grind to max out points. It is extremely repetitive and boring.

Coin pouches, rare gacha, pgc, pac, and maple shield were all missing from this summer event.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
Yes, 3-4 week duration is fine.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?

    One-Eyed Goblin's Blessing (15% EXP Boost)
    Two-Eyed Goblin's Blessing (All Stat +15, Atk & Matk +15, HP/MP +1500)
Using coins to pay for EXP

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    2/5

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
    > For myself, most of event participating is 'just do what you've done while non-event period, and get something as bonus, thanks for event ongoing'. If event asked something I need to focus hard (something like JQ. ex_2025 new year) outside of regular gameplay (like contents, farming), mostly I just skipped event itself. In such gameplay, most event for me was 'just get some points during contents/farming, and get some pets/cosmetics, that's all'. So it was amusing to have something I can actually use in contents (like extra watk buff, exp buff coupon). As long as it doesn't go too overpowered, I think it was something joyful for contents-focused player like myself, I really loved it. Even though I skipped bringing it mostly, unless I'm in 'serious challenge'.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
    > Too bad that I don't have any opinion about this. I wasn't focusing on 'maxing points' for cosmetics (points for cosmetics was always enough, thinking of cosmetics cost haven't been ever too spicy), or raffles (As I wrote above, I don't try to sweat on event too much for max raffles. I just take it as natural bonus coming from my normal gameplay), so merging both making them use shared point wasn't something I actually cared.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
    > There are so many players in this server, and each players demand/target can be so different. From what I witnessed around myself, some players loved to get free exp+lvl with points, some players wanted to make maximum profit with raffle (even though it turned out that raffle wasn't good choice. fuck me lol), some players wanted 'guaranteed event gears' they can use for months. Thinking of former events made raffle everythings made some players unhappy, for they were raffle-gated from what they want. I remember last years summer event which, who doesn't have bunch of chars can farm points easily from GPQ and raffle on multiple characters, were crying so hard for they couldn't get strawberry icebar and stat flag, so I shared leftovers a lot from my raffle abusing. This event was great for that feature, allowing each players can target their 'prime goal' first without being gated from raffle RNG.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
    > Raffles -dead- But I wouldn't complain for EV of raffle was so terrible. Raffle is gamble, and it came from just bonus points I got from what I've been doing in common. bonus is bonus.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
    > I haven't ever gambled my points, and haven't used points for exp, so no opinion from myself.
It was really amusing to see guildies use their points for 'levelup showtime!' on guild chat and having fun vibe tgt was awesome tho.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
    > I can't even define my 'satisfaction level' for events so hard to answer this. But if I ask myself 'did I enjoyed this event?' answer is yes.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
    > Too bad that I don't expect too much on events so I don't feel anything 'missed' neither.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
    > Yes, not because of myself, but because it was joyful among guild in many ways
(bullying someone got busted on points gamble, watching 'levelup showtime', etc)

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
    > Seperated point purchase spots so can aim each players 'target goal' easier.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    > :star::star::star::star:. Sorry for reducing 1 because of my personality doesn't enjoy event itself too much in general.

Thank you as always for listening to player feedback on events. :>

    1. How did you feel about this event format as a whole? Did you enjoy having an event that rewards players for participating in regular game content as opposed to an event that has content outside of regular game content (e.g. minigames, dungeons, etc.)?
I think overall I enjoyed it. I thought the map was really cute for the event, and I definitely felt motivated to participate. I think having things like JPQ and BPQ feel enough "outside" of regular game content to give that option for people, granted I think BPQ isn't optional if you really intend to get a chunk of your coin cap done quickly (assuming you're high enough level).

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
I'm a little torn on this. I think having cosmetics and certain types of equipment (like the expiring scrollable equipment, chairs, etc.) is fine to share the pool of points, but I do think sharing the pool with the other spendables like EXP raffle and scroll raffle made people have to sacrifice one for the other. I know I ended up feeling like spending my points on anything except EXP raffle felt like I was losing out. Maybe that would have benefited from raffle tickets instead. Having the separate currency of jellies for APRs was the right move I think, but the accessibility did end up being a problem for low level or washed characters who really struggled to accumulate the 1050 points, and these are the characters who arguably need APRs the most.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
I think I might actually prefer the original, but this was more an issue about the above with currency. I honestly tried scroll pouch only once before feeling like it was a waste of points compared to other things I could be spending it on.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
    EXP raffle, hands down.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?

I didn't really do it much for the vending machine because I only ever ended up with losses, so I had to cut mine to at least guarantee a certain amount of EXP rolls. This is why I probably would have separated EXP roll from event currency to be a raffle ticket instead. I think it is fair to pick between currency gamble with the vending machine or just guaranteeing cosmetics, though!

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?

I was very happy with the EXP roll rewards. I sadly didn't experience much with scroll gambling because the rates just seemed way too low and not worth the expenditure.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?

I think it would have been nice if manually looting points (i.e. HHG2) had a higher drop rate. I could very rarely find people to farm with me, which was tough - it just wasn't worthwhile for the time sink, but it was really one of the only options for my low level characters. On that note, for the sake of those lower level/washing chars with fewer avenues to get points, I wish that the quiz gave not only credit for the jellies but actual points that we could spend. I appreciated the credit addition for jellies mid-event, but it would have been a nice guarantee for lower level folks so they could spend a bit on the fun stuff, too.
I also think it would have been nicer to raise the BPQ point cap a bit more - it was only viable for half your weekly total, but with so many characters in my roster it was just impossible for me to hit the weekly cap on anyone, so I feel like I missed out on a lot of potential rewards.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
I think it was a nice length, yup.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
The buffs were awesome! As was the EXP raffle.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
3.5-4 I think! Thank you for bringing in a new event. I was expecting fishing (and I do love fishing) but I enjoyed it!

    > I feel like the rewards from exchanging event gears such as face accessory, earrings, eye accessory and shoes were able to help new players progress. However the RNG from cubing the equips could be tweaked better instead of -5 to +5. I also enjoyed BPQ which has allowed the community to participate together besides regular PQs and Expeditions.

    2. How did you feel about the merge of "farmable" cosmetics and valuables currencies? Did the pros (i.e. more streamlined currency farming, more choices with the same amount of currency) outshine the cons (i.e. harder "limits" on cosmetics farming)?
    > In my opinion, farming for Goblin Coins were bad as compared to just bossing regularly and this in turn has persuaded me to regularly run bosses like Zakum and Horntail more frequently rather than farming in places such as Ulu 1 or Petris.

    3. This event did not use a traditional raffle format, and instead opted for items such as the scroll pouch, that included traditional raffle-like prizes in its prize pool. Did you like this change in format, or do you prefer the traditional method?
    > In my opinion I prefer traditional raffle-like prizes due to scrolls only being used for certain equips whereas traditional raffle prizes like Chocolate Cake can be used not only for merching but for consuming as well to grind levels.

    4. What did you spend your event currency on the most?
    > I spent almost (if not) all my Goblin Coins on gambling for equips.

    5. How did you feel about the "gambling" aspect of the event (using your coins to pay for EXP or a chance for more event currency)?
    > I did not exchange my coins for EXP, therefore I do not have an opinion for this question. However based on what I've seen from others, this exchange helps lower levels more than higher level players.

    6. Did you find the rewards satisfactory for this event?
    > Yes I find the rewards satisfying. I believe the rewards were able to balance mages and non-mages because mages benefit more from face accessory and shoes than eye accessory and earring.

    7. Did you feel there was anything missing from this event (in terms of content, rewards, etc.)?
    > I personally feel like the Fishing content was missing. It was one of my most favorite and recognizable content. Due to last year's DDOS attacks, it made the content unenjoyable and I was hoping it would return this year in order to experience it better.

    8. Was the event's duration satisfactory?
    > I believe the duration of the event was fair.

    9. What from this event would you like to see return?
    > I would love to see the Goblin Effects (EXP, Stat Increase, Attack/Magic Attack stack) return from this event next year.

    10. Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with this event (out of 5 stars :star:)?
    > I rate this event 3/5.

prices for flags, pops, and chairs depend on what players pick and how many are redeemed. if everyone knows the returns (perfect or near perfect information), prices will even out because people will keep choosing the best value until it is not.

but hey, who does not like the dopamine of getting a big item?

Not only is information not perfect, the uncertainty itself was in the scroll raffle, and it didn't take long for people to figure out you were wasting your coins. And, even if there was perfect information that doesn't mean that chair prices fall below the avg scroll raffle--they aren't indexed together.

im too tired to do a full review but I just wanted to say I enjoyed this event, a bit more than the average population did, i think. Many of my friends didn't like the event even though I was having a blast XD

I liked that there were so many things we could get, like 3 different buffs, and chaosing specs/shoes/earring was a ton of fun. I appreciated the exp thing on my early 4th job characters, that was fun getting like 40% exp.

Neutral things: I didn't mind that the points were shared between everything, I didn't think it was a big deal that I missed out on some exp or some raffle (but I guess that was mostly because the EV was so bad on those LMAO).

And speaking of EV, I actually didn't care that EV was low; in fact, low EV let me focus on the fun aspect of the event like chaosing/instant exp. I think if people expect event to be times to make a ton of money, then yah, I can see why they didn't like the event, but personally it felt like I was FREED from having to make money, and I could enjoy the event itself! I never felt like i HAD to grind or miss out on a ton of money, and instead I could just ENJOY the event. This may be an unpopular opinion, but yes, I would like more events where making money isn't the central theme. It makes events less a "chore"

The bad: i was SO SAD that there was no fishing, because I loooooove afk fishing, and it FEELS like summer event. But yah doesn't matter, event was cool anyway. Boss PQ was kinda boring but I have fond memories of boss PQ because it's where i met one of my best friends in maple. This time around tho, it felt even more anti-social than previous years, maybe just my bias though?

edit: I LOVED all the owl/tp cokes I got XD THANK YOU
edit edit: writing this reveiw gave me more energy becuase i liked the event

About this I reviewed structure of event and noticed :

    2024 Summer - fishing event
    1. you BPQ rush to get baits
    2. you AFK fish to transit baits into fishes
    3. you raffle 7 times per a char an week.

    2025 Summer - goblin event
    1. you BPQ rush to get points
    2. you just direct raffle without 'AFK waiting time'.

Noticed that if raffle was only purpose for us, process entering raffle got simplified.
(But yes, we didn't have crazy EV from raffle like 2024 summer (it was too sweet, worth to bruteforce against DDoS, I should confess) and maybe that's the point where we're feeling salt hahaha)

Also maybe one more - BPQ rush can't cap 7 raffle alone - would make ppls feel salt aswell.
