Scrolled the Angry Mask myself, one 10%, one 30% then 5/5 60/70%s passed. Super excited as I believe its quite end-game (at least wont need upgrading soon).
Single Earring bought for 35m
Scrolled the Dark Ades myself as well, one 30% then 7 60%s. Didn't know that archer gear doesnt require strength to wear, quite nice.
Bought the Purple Work Gloves for 10m.

50m + tax went to paying back Motto. Also, I decided to not get INT gear. Simply because if I get +40 int for 100 levels thats only +400 MP, which can be achieved through 20 MP washes. Seems easier to me and with all the AP stuck in MP I have atm I'd rather invest in some dex gear to maintain some form of damage.

Don't worry, I haven't deleted my sniper. I just put it on pause for a little bit as it is lacking the NX required for the MP washes I need to do. Basically I have 19 AP stuck in MP right now at lvl 94 and only 2k NX. To MP wash I will need to put all AP into MP as I level, but can't reset it into dex, meaning my character won't get any stronger anytime soon.

So I really like the "washing is doable" journals going around, but this is just simply maybe not one of them. One does not need the amount of HP washing I am trying to do here. I believe (dont quote me on this very tired atm) 12k HP should be fine, however, I decided I wanted to go for 18.75k. That way I am able to tank most things without HB and reach 30k with HB. In order to do so:
- my sniper has 220 base int
- I will mp wash all 5 AP for 60 levels (300 ap resets total)

The second point is where I ran into time issues, I need more days to vote to gain NX to wash out the AP I put into MP when I level up.

Since I have a lot of time this weekend and felt like moopling, I decided to make another character. Initially this journal was meant to be about one char only, but I guess not anymore.
Do note: I am keeping the funding of these two characters entirely separate. There will be no mesos/gear exchanged between the two.
Anywho, you guessed it, its a corsair.

So for the corsair I am also going to be trying to get 18.75k. Most likely I will run into NX issues around the same level range my sniper is currently at, which might be an awesome point in time to switch back to that. We'll see!

Another one of those last night + today updates. Still have a shoulder injury so not able to do much besides use the computer, have a hospital appointment tomorrow though. Nice progress, though 52-56 was a bit challenging. Currently moved on to CDs which is pretty nice as long as I only kill the top platform (just stand on the raised platform and spam invisible shot).

Also bought a Maple Canon Shooter (lvl 64 gun) with 59 att clean (average is 60), failed first 30% and boomed on second one. Gotta save up to buy a higher att clean one and then just 60% it.

Very excited to be 3rd job again but unfortunately itll take until like lvl 80 or something for flamethrower/ice splitter to become remotely useful. Maybe even around 85ish. Oh well.

Bought the Maple Canon Shooter clean for 6m, was only 56 attack clean (way below average) but landed a 30% and 5/6 60%s, so not bad. The anniversary event ended last month and maple weapon prices are already so high again T__T.
Navy Christmas Sock bought for 4m.
Green Mittens bought for 9m.
Fallen Leaf Earrings scrolled myself, 2 70%s and one 60% passed! Gonna finish with some 60s whenever I get some mesos again.

Got shoulder checked out, all my tendons looked fine so v happy about that. Was scared something would be broken. Hopefully the pain will decrease and function will return soon.

Lvl 80 in 5 days I really need to fucking slow down the pace a bit. Gonna be gone for the weekend on lil vacation trip anyway so thats good. 70-80 was honestly a struggle as Ice Splitter and Flamethrower start at lvl 1 by hitting a whopping 2 (!!!) mobs. Can you believe? Now at 80 its finally better DPS than invisible shot. Also, why does invisible shot do 170% damage at max level while max Flamethrower does 160%? So many questions. /endofrant

So I have not been card farming at all yet, might do it during summer event to farm some currency/mesos. I figured waiting to 120 until I can use airstrike to do it just seems more efficient.

Finished scrolling the Fallen Leaf Earrings with 2 more 60%s, one passed. Not bad. Was cheaper than buying 8 dex earrings.
Silver Deputy Star bought for 18m.

Spent about 15~20m on buying two Maple Canon Shooters (60 and 61 att), used 6 30% gun scrolls total and they all failed/boomed. Kinda do want a slightly better gun though and I'm not getting base STR anytime soon.

well aware of this, but they only start hitting 6 mobs at skill lvl 25 which was what I was complaining about.
Also, invisible shot takes 660 ms to do 170% x 3 = 510% damage
Flamethrower takes 540 ms to do 160% x 6 = 960% damage
Ice splitter takes 540 ms to do 130% x 6 = 780% damage

Now comparing 2x invisible shot to flamethrower + icesplitter on 3 mobs:
Invisible shot: 1320 ms to do 1020% damage
Ice + flame combo: 1080 ms to do 480% + 390% damage = 870% damage
Now normalizing:
Invisible shot: 772% per second
Ice + flame combo: 805% per second
So it is actually stronger at max level on 3 mobs too, because of the faster speed.

Now I wanted to just run these calculations for myself already, but thought it might be interesting. Comparing double shot to ice+flame combo:
2x double shot: 780 ms to do 520% damage or 666% / sec
Ice + flame combo on 2 mobs: 1080 ms to do 320% + 260% = 580% or 537% / sec

So it seems double shot is better DPS on 1 or 2 mobs, while ice + flame is best DPS on 3 or more mobs .

Anyway here's the next one. Spent time with family this weekend at our beach house so no time to moople.
Side note: gonna probably run out of NX to MP wash on this account as well. However, I enjoy my outlaw a bunch more than the sniper and am probably just continuining on here. Will just slow down the leveling pace a bit whenever I run out of NX. Will not be making another character.

- Spent 10m on a 63 w.att Maple Canon Shooter (lvl 64 gun), boomed again. So far I have failed about 8 or 9 30%s on 4 different maple guns, eventually booming them all. Kinda unlucky ~
- Finally reached my base int goal of 240, started MP washing from lvl 79 onwards. Hoping to continue doing so until about 150.

Still not much luck with the gach. Also boomed ANOTHER Maple Canon Shooter. Otherwise doing fine, leveling is definitely starting to slow down. I believe I get like 45%/hr solo at CDs and like 75% with a priest, so I've mostly just been waiting around for my priest friend to level with me. Also went and killed like 3 HH's, but my damage is still a bit low to make it really worth it (takes me about 16 mins to kill, gives about 10% exp).
I've definitely slowed down the pace a bit, cause I was going very fast frmo 1-80. The grind is getting slower so I just need to keep up the pace. The complaining about mesos / meh gach luck is mostly because I make about only a bit more money at CDs than I spend on pots. Thus im not really gaining much mesos atm. Lets hope the event can get me some AP resets/mesos. Mostly just been taking it easy until it comes around.

Definitely the outlaw. As I quickly mentioned I plan on continuing just the outlaw for now. Although it is far weaker (mostly due to lack of a good weapon, whereas my Maple Nishada was insane, but also since the class is generally just pretty weak) I still enjoy it more, the mobility is just so nice . Although I ran out of NX for MP washing on my Outlaw as well right now, I guess ill just put points in MP and wash out whenever I can. I had to slightly slow down the pace sooner or later anyway ~

Slowly creeping up on lvl 100. Mostly grinded with my priest friend Missgalaxy. We kinda decided to try to reach 120 by the 5th of September (when my uni starts again). Not sure if doable, we'll see. Also, for the first time, leeching temptation is creeping up. Solo grinding at CDs is like 2.5 hours/lvl so I've mostly just been grinding with a priest.
Also kinda still waiting around for the summer event so I can maybe do some card hunting or smth.

There are ACTUAL gear upgrades this time around! Yay ~

I bought two 2 att 5 slot Pink Gaia Capes for 3m ea, first one turned out 4 dex so got another and it went 8 dex. Pretty nice upgrade from my previous 6 dex cape.
Rat Mouth was a lucky hit with a 10% face avoid (bought about 4), then landed 5/6 60%/70% scrolls. For some reason I have ever since I started playing always tended to get pretty dang lucky scrolling face accessories. Not sure why.

So I thought id give a little HP washing update. It seems I kinda done fucked up.
My goal with this journal has always been to create a character that, by level 200, does not rely on HB to do any endgame content. Not because I hate DrKs, but simply because I know that I will be very disappointed (if I ever even do get that far) if it turns out I cannot do some of the content the game has to offer just because I shouldve washed more before.

Currently, both homo and fairy have run out of NX to mp wash with. I also thought I was on the right track to finish MP washing by level 140 and be able to reset my base int into main stat. Turns out I am farther off than I thought :C.

Anyway, im not really sure what to do at the very moment. It seems that by adding more dex in the earlier levels (i only reached my base int goal around lvl 80) I might have extended the MP washing (thus resetting base int) to lvl 150. Which is a drag.

About homo:
I've really enjoyed playing my outlaw so far and was very motivated to rush it to 120 before uni restarts (5th of september for me). However, I already have 5 levels worth of AP stuck in MP waiting to be washed out. This essentially means I will not be getting any stronger from lvl 101 - 120. Also, I need to add base STR so be able to wear any better guns than my current 75 attack lvl 64 maple gun.
Currently I am gaining about:
- 4m EPH solo at CDs
- 6m EPH with priest at CDs
Since my damage won't increase, progressing to himes/gallos does not seem feasible (I tested with priest friend, both were slightly slower). Also my EPH won't go up further as I've maxed most essential abilities for grinding and am not getting any stronger.

So as it turns out I am in a bit of a rut at the moment. Grinding to 120 solo would take me 84 hours at 4m eph, with my priest friend it would take me 56 hours. Now that is not undoable, but it isn't very motivating to not be gaining any EPH or getting any stronger.
The 120 goal comes from me then probably taking a break from leveling as I could use lvl 1 air strike to farm a bunch of low level cards, which would take some time in which I can catch up on the NX I need to continue leveling.

Lesson: you level far faster than you can acquire the NX to MP wash so many times. I had no clue 70-90 was such a breeze honestly.

I'm currently considering two options:
- making a bucc and letting my other two characters sit for now, it'd require far less MP washing at 240 ish base int and thus not 'throttle' as much
- buying leech to 120

On the second point: although I dislike the concept of leeching heavily, it'd be more efficient to spent hours farming mesos then buy leech rather than grinding with 4m eph all the way up to 120. 119 to 120 would take me almost 8 hours.

Any tips/advice/comments/insight are very welcome! I'm kinda saddened by running into issues again in this journal, but at least I made serious progress in the game over the last two months and am running into different issues than before.

EDIT: might have been a bit vague on some points. To clarify; I've played this server for about a year now (with some breaks) and my goals has always been to get to 120 and over on a character that is suited for washing to goals I want to acquire. That means potentially reaching 18.75k at 200 for a ranged char (sair, mm) or 24~25k at 200 for a bucc. I realise I might never hit those levels, but playing a char that would be lacking HP if I did is just not something I want to do.
The reason I am keen on hitting 120 before the 5th of september is because I have a pretty busy first semester coming up at uni. After 120 I would probably slow down (having finally achieved that milestone) and more casually farm some cards/continue leveling. Therefore reaching it before uni starts seems nice as I won't have to spend time during my first weeks finishing up leveling my char to 120.
I hope that makes some sense? Idk.

 

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think I've ever really had any interest in either class. I think by now I have established I'm mostly fond of the pirate and archer classes .
