    Frankly speaking this is something that happens in regards to the DNS switching.
    I've tested it out on different connections, swapping between them after loading the page, and I'm never going above 600ms to load the entire page.

    And to load the npc document of size ~5/6KB doesn't take more than ~160ms.

    right... no one is doubting that it shouldn't take more than a fraction of a second on any connection to get a 6KB file from a server. the problem is whatever is in between the end user and the eventual server whose job it is to server up those files, i.e. some kind of reverse proxy/ies.

    The bot check thing for me, when I get them (seems about once a day at least) takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds....

    But hey, guess it's better to have that than script kiddies blowing the server up.

    Well...technically correct, but I was just giving some feedback is all. As far as the forum, my WinXP can't navigate the web anymore so that's a non-sequitur. My Win7 & Win10 both have trouble connecting to the main website and the forum all the same.
