Hey, I was curious about the gacha drop rates from monsters here so I decided to record a grinding session.

I killed ~16,000 mobs (approximated based on EXP gained) with the ice strike skill (Note it is NOT a fourth job mage ultimate) , and I got the following:

    2 silver hunting gachapon tickets
    9 blue cash gachapon tickets.

So, this makes me believe that the silver gacha drop rate is ~1/8000

And the blue ones drop rate is ~1/1500 to 1/2000 mobs.

Wondering if anyone else would be willing to share their drop rates. I am curious to see if the drop rate is actually lower for fourth job mage ultimates or if its just a myth.

Another grinding session at GS2: ~6k mobs killed.
    1 silver hunting ticket
    3 blue tickets

I seriously hope it's not lower for 4th job mages. The main draw of making an arch mage is being able to farm efficiently, if the drop rate is nerfed then why bother playing one?

After getting to fourth job and grinding some, I do suspect the drop rate is nerfed for ultimates, but there is still a point to make arch mages. They are the best class at farming EXP.

Also, I don't think drop rates for equips or mesos are nerfed for mages, just these gachapon tickets. Also, I'm sure the rates have changed by this point since I made this thread before Gacha was removed from CS.

I'm pretty sure drop rates for mage ultimate are nerfed. Besides there's plenty of reason to play mages. Selling leech, lack of much washing, int gear sharing..

Never had problems finding Gacha, normally at Kid Mannequins I'm able to get around 15ish every 1m meso gained.
And the ratio is normally 3 Rare and 12 Common.

This is with a Hero, so about 2 hours of work?

Woah, thats alot of gacha. Could you perhaps quantify that in terms of total kills? (Basically just take the exp you get over the 2 hour period and divide it by the individual exp per mannequin)

It could be that you are unlucky, but it could also be that the drop rate changed. If you can keep track of how much exp you grind next time ( and then convert it to total kills), we can get a clearer picture of which is the case.

Had to re-do the experiment, I was able to get 13 Gacha in total, 2 Rare and 10 Common this time around.

    I did @epm 2 and got 5.728.800 eph , that's 5.728.800/1.540 = 3.720 Kid Mannequins killed per hour
In total 7440 Kid Mannequins for 2 hours.

    This time :
    2/7440
    10/7440

    Before :
    3/7440
    12/7440

Interesting. Well i am 100% sure now that the drop rate varies depending on what skill you use. I killed ~8k mannequins with a mage and I only got 2 common gachapon tickets.

I think mages got gacha rate nerfed, because of AoE skills.
I can't even imagine getting less than 5 gacha per hour.

Any fellow arch mage face the same issue? I have been training at gallos for awhile now it seems like my gacha drop rate is utter garbage.. 3Hour grind with only 1 rare gacha dropping

I grinded at petri for about 5 hours and got over 30 gach. This was only the ones I saw (may have missed some on bot plat).

It’s still rng based so being unlucky is just unlucky.

Has anyone experimented with perma beginners using just the attack skill? I've heard they have a lot of gachas drop for them.

I get about 4~5 gach tickets when using Genesis on low level monsters like Master Chronos for example farming for Helm DEX 60%s and thats in about a 2 hour time frame. But when I do use them I only recently get equips or potions so idk XD

I’m a recent perma beginner! From level 13-20 grinding in pig dungeon Henesys i got about 8 gachas, then did kpq to lvl27. From level 27-35 grinded misc wild boar and other monster card areas for 5common gachas and 2rare.

Only used normal attacks. So if i can 1-hit the monsters, i get lots of gachas, otherwise i get less.

    edit:
I'm going to assume its rng based? Although the calculation for the drops could use variables such as:

type of attack, channel, area, monster

Or maybe something simpler, like a rand_gacha_drop_function() ?

Things that are confirmed variables (based on forum posts and other comments by Kimmy) are
    -Skill ID
    -Monster ID
    -Map ID

Things that are likely variables (No comments from Kimmy, but anecdotal evidence of players)
-Server time (Seed for random generator)
    -Channel
-Number of hits to kill mob

It's not purely RNG based because Kimmy has described it as "complex"

Its not about the amount that you kill, its about time.
