    There was a hit on his head. He knew there was. He had taken extra care, walking around with no more than one goon at a time. But tonight, they had a job to do so he was alone.
    Even sitting alone in his house, gun by his side he thought he could last one night. Too bad he was wrong.

    Hands were sweaty on the knife. This wasn’t their first kill, and it probably wouldn’t be the last. But it was nice to have such a dangerous target, gave some thrill a little bit of a fight before the life would finally leave their victims body.

    Disappointment ran through him when he saw the sleeping form. Hand loose on the handle of a pistol beside on the table. Head thrown back against the back of the chair; The Target Losj was asleep. So much for that fight.
    It took just one swipe of the knife before the life drained from the godfather’s body. So much for the head of the mafia.
    Cleaning the knife the serial killer walked away with a smile on their face. It was an easy kill, but it was still a successful one.

    Across town a kill wasn’t going how the Mafia wanted it too. The hit had been going well so far, the first shot went off in the back of their targets leg stopping her from running away. It was then they heard the news of their leader’s death that they added one extra shot to the woman knowing she had no chance and would bled out before they left to their own emergency.

    They should’ve known that in such a highly populated area that there was a chance the target Jas was saved by the doctor. What a night.
    • Losj, the godfather, was murdered by the serial killer.
    • Jas was targeted by the Mafia.
      • The doctor, however, protected her!

    Finishing her night of work Jas left the office in a huff. After the anger throughout the town over the murder of the mafia member Jas was confused.

    Did it matter that a mafia member died? Getting into her car for the night she got a text saying where she should meet her date for a night out. Too bad the text was sent to the wrong number.

    Across town another number got a similar text. Wrong numbers can be such a pain.
    When Jas arrived at her location she was shocked she wasn’t were she was meant to be. With her friend nowhere in sight she shrugged and made her way home.

    Zook on the other hand wasn’t so lucky. When he received the text he was a bit confused. He didn’t remember making plans that night but he wasn’t scared of anyone and if someone wanted to meet him. He’d be more than happy to see what they wanted.

    When he arrived at the location he was instantly ambushed. Only quick reflexes and training kept him from being killed instantly. A knife slashed at him from one side, a foot came from another. Hands and feet flew as he took on not just one member of the mafia but two.

    Holding his own was getting harder but he was surviving yet. With a well-timed kick he took out one of his attackers. Only one remained.

    Blood dripped from his split lip, eye swollen but he didn’t look as bad as the next guy. As he squared up ready to end the fight a shot rang out in the night.

    BANG!

    Before Zook could register where it had come from he felt the blinding sharp pain in his chest. Looking down found him with a bullet wound just left of his heart. Wide eyed the man screamed with his last breath and sunk to the ground.

    The mafia goons creeped from the alleyway where the fight had been.

    The doctor had just finished his shift. When they heard the scream. What was with all these attempted murders. Running over they saw the gunshot wound so similar to the one the day before. Wasting no time the Doctor saved Zook, the man would live another day.

    Some people might remember this game from 1-2 months ago. Back then, I decided to stop hosting it due to a) not playing Maple and therefore not being on the forum and b) the hassle of hosting it. I have, however, decided to pick it up again!

    What has changed?
    I didn't change the game as it was in the last round, since it proved to be quite balanced. The only problem was that I sometimes lost track and some errors slipped in on my side. Well, no more! I have set up a spreadsheet that does most of the work for me and gives me exactly the outcome of votes in each possible scenario. This way, things should also go faster.

    There's one change that will help speed things up, as well. From now on, the deadline will be a set time each day (8:00 AM @time). I should be able to start the next day/night within an hour after that deadline. This can be changed towards the end of a round to speed things up.
