    Pretty sure this is fine. People have done it with other controllers since the beginning of the server if i recall correctly.

    I use controller companion via steam for my xbox 360 controller. Maybe if you google smth that'd affiliate with that you might find a workaround?

    Its not free. But if your gonns use it alot i guess its worth it.

    I have not tried it myself, but it seems to work atleast with PS3 and xbox controller. I see no reason for it not to work with the gamecube one as well.

    I use xPadder 5.3 with a wireless xbox 360 controller and receiver.
    You might be able to use some Controller>Keyboard software if you also have 'x360ce' installed.
    I don't have experience with a Gamecube, but this might help with setup.
