Update General Patch Notes: Lunar and Valentines 2026

Welcome to the general Patch notes for the Lunar and Valentines 2026 patch!

Most of the work done for this patch involves structural changes to our source code, which will be mentioned but will not be discussed in detail.
Aside from those, and in addition to a good amount of bug fixes and game QoL, our latest client version (v1.34) introduces a few extra requested features.


General Changes

• The Lunar/Valentines Event is now active! You can read all about it here.
  • The Freemarket Entrance has received a seasonal makeover!

• Our seasonal events backend code has been fully reworked.
  • While this is not gonna be noticeable for players, it was an ancient system that required a rewrite to be properly maintainable in the long run.

• Various updates have been implemented to our stateless npc scripting.
  • Once again, it's a backend feature that players are not gonna be affected by.

• A new donor pet has been added to the Cash Shop: Weenie Dawg!
  • Its pet equipment can be bought in the Cash Shop as well.

Client updates

• Trading, opening minigame rooms, and opening a Hired Merchant can now be done while the character is transformed.

• Echo of Hero can now be used while on Battleship.

• Random animation chairs now support up to 5 animations (up from 4).

• Three new ini settings options have been introduced.
  • OldSchool [true/false] : when it's set to true, your cursor hand will be replaced by its old blue gem pointer design, and the name in your status bar will be displayed in all caps.
    These are two features that were present in very old versions of the game.
  • NpcInteractBehavior [1/2/3] : changes the way in which your NPC chat keyboard button interacts with the npc dialogues, while the dialogue window is open.
  1. Pressing the NPC chat button will close the dialogue (same behaviour as pre-patch).
     
  2. Pressing the NPC chat button will directly move to the next dialogue, as if you pressed Next/OK.
     
  3. Pressing the NPC chat button once will display the full current dialogue (as if you clicked with the mouse), and clicking it again will move to next dialogue (as if you pressed Next/OK).

  • HighlightUpgradeSlots [true/false] : if set to true, an item's remaining upgrade slots will be blue if less than max slots, and red if 0.

    Note: the bad scrolling luck is not affected by the setting.

Changes and Bugfixes

General:

• The following maps now allow Mount usage:
  • Zipangu : 2095 Park (Neo Tokyo Park PQ)
    
  • Zipangu : 2102 Roppongi Mall - Top Floor (Aufheben Boss Fight)
    
  • Grandmaster Council Hall (CWKPQ Boss Fight)
    
  • Deep Place of Temple : Temple Ruins (Before Pink Bean Lobby)
    
  • Deep Place of Temple : Forgotten Twilight (Pink Bean Lobby)

• Ancient Relics (statue weapons) no longer disappear when dropped on the ground in a CWKPQ expedition.
  • Note: this also applies to a Forbidden Gun dropped by a treasure chest in the Pirate room.

• Fixed a potential concurrency issue that could affect double boss spawn.
  • Please let us know if double spawns still happen.

• Fixed an issue that would cause a boss' skills to go on cooldown whenever the boss used an attack that also cast a debuff on the players.
  • This should make it easier for bosses to cast their skills at the expected time, but it is not expected to be a full fix. Please give us any feedback you may have on this, after experiencing it in game.

• Corrected a typo on the word "griefing" in the EULA displayed upon first login.

Items:

• "Bronze Spearman Card" has been renamed to "Bronze Staffman Card".
  
• Corrected the mention of Boswell Field as the hunting area for "MT-09 Card".
  • As a note, these field limitations are not implemented, and the effect persists regardless of the training area for all cards. But for consistency, the text has been corrected.
• Nibelung Battleship Chair now correctly recovers 40 HP every 10 seconds, as per its description. It no longer recovers 40 MP.
  
• "Bichon Paw Weapon" and "Witch's Staff" names have been switched, and now respectively refer to the correct weapon.
  • Note: technically, the names were correct, but the items themselves were switched. Changing the names is however easier than refunding/replacing the two weapons for every affected player.
• "Secret Spell Scroll" can now be searched via Owl.
• Pet Command Guides for Springy Worm and Bono Catfish are now available at Doofus.

Maps:

• An unintended portal link between "Herb Town - Isolated Swamp" and "Mu Lung - Peach Farm 3" has been removed.

Mobs:

• "Old Fox" has been renamed to "Nine-Tailed Fox".
  • This applies to the monster name, the monster drop, and the quest data/dialogues.
• The level of Core Blaze written in Monster Book has been corrected to 178.
  
• Fixed a sound issue that caused some monsters from Ellin Forest to crash the game on a Mac client.

NPCs:

• Corrected a few typos in Karcasa's dialogues (Ariant - Victoria towns travel NPC).
  
• Casey in Henesys Game Park now correctly states that you need only 50 Monster Cards to make a card set.
  
• Fairy of Love now has a default text, and no longer shows an empty dialogue.

Quests:

• The quest info for "Alcaster's Cape" quest now correctly lists 40 Dark Leatty Furball as requirement (instead of 50).
  • Quest requirements are unchanged.
• "Lucas' Reply" : Maria now correctly refers to the "reply from Lucas", instead of from herself.
  
• "Blocktopus is an Alien?" : a typo in the dialogue has been defeintely corrected.
  
• "Hero's Gladius" : fixed a typo.
  
• "Reawakening the Gladius" : removed the mention of Mike the dungeon entrance guard, as he has nothing to do with the quest. It was likely an old leftover.
  
• "Helping Kriel Out" : Kriel now has a better explanation for where the mobs and the etcs around Orbis come from.

Skills:

• "Invincible" skill description now correctly lists the MP cost as a negative amount.
