Update General Patch Notes: Winter Holiday 2024

Welcome to the general Patch notes for the Winter Holiday patch!

Our seasonal Winder Holiday Events is accompanied by a set of minor balance updates, and some client (v1.28) and system changes.

General Changes

• The Winter Holiday Event All information can be found by clicking here
  • The Freemarket Entrance received a seasonal makeover!
  • Notable differences in the Snowman fight from last year:
    • Fall damage in the Snowman boss map has been removed.
    • Healing relics now also damage the Snowman and its summons, on pick up.
    • Prize pools have been reworked.

• The Adventurer Scroll PQ teleport system has been implemented.
  • Rosa in Lith Harbor will have a new quest for you, if you're over level 10 and in a Victoria Island town: you will obtain the Adventurer Scroll.
  • Double-click it to open our first custom interface of the game, with which you will be able to quickly teleport to various PQ lobbies in the game.

  • There is no limit to the number of times the Adventurer Scroll can be used. However, teleport to a PQ lobby is a single charge, and the player must complete the relative PQ in order to obtain a new one.

Client updates

• Support for custom interfaces has been completed, and is now entering live testing phase.
  • The first custom interface will be the Party Quest Teleport, which will handle warping players to specific maps when available.
  • While the interface has been tested extensively, we cannot rule out possible issues, and we encourage everyone to report them to us.
  • In any case, a failsafe PQ teleport mechanic is already implemented and ready to be toggled on, should that be necessary.

• Setting the White Scroll prompt to True in our ini file no longer causes the client to crash upon trying to scroll an item.

• Skill Macros no longer accept multiple copies of the same attack on the same macro.
  • As a result of this new limitation, Meteor Shower, Blizzard, Genesis and Dragon Roar can now again be included in skill macros.

• Non-cash expiring items now use the same string as cash items, to display expiration date ("Available until yyyy/mm/dd at hh:mm").

• Staff Sergeant Charlie (Orbis Exchange) and Mr. Do (Mu Lung Medicine) now craft the same All Cure Potion version that's dropped by monster and obtained by any other source.
  • The "different" version still exists in player inventories, and will function correctly.

• "Nocturne Hair": position of the under-hat hair has been corrected.
  
• "Magnus Face": face has been fully reimported.
• "Hilla Face": face has been fully reimported.
  
• "Maple Wagner": weapon layering has been corrected.
• "Reverse/Timeless Killic": weapon layering has been corrected.
  • Shadowers are playable again.
• "Pink Bunny Strap Dress": fixed layering on sitting and mounting poses.
  
• "Daisy Vacation Sunglasses": sprites are now correctly linked.
  
• "Sleepy Kitty": sprites are now correctly linked.
  
• "Glory of Star": sprites are now correctly linked.
  
• "Black Hip Hop": fixed a wrong sprite for the arm in sitting pose.
• "May Mist": tooltip now spells "Homunculi" correctly.
• "Tri-Tailed Fox Card" has been corrected to "Samiho Card".
  
• All occurrences of "Knuckler" have been corrected to "Knuckle".

• Entrance Lock NPC in "2102 Roppongi Mall - Top Floor" (Aufheben fight map) has been correctly repositioned.

Npcs:

• The Guard in Golden Temple now has a default dialogue.

Quests:

• "Breaking the Force Field" (Marble of Chaos quest): no longer has a cooldown.
• Lunar New Year boss kill quest no longer triggers outside of its correct event time.
  
• "The Unfinished Battle" (Ravana quest): the quest no longer shows up in the Available tab after the first completion.

Skills:

• Explosion (F/P Mage): skill description for level 18 now correctly lists Spell attack 99, instead of 00.
  • Skill functionality is unchanged.

What do you mean from town to PQ?

 

Which is not what this is? Hyper Teleport Rock allows you to constantly warp, this has 1 usage until you PQ that very same PQ again, meaning it will be completely useless for people that do not PQ at all.
